Gothic Wedding with Silver Corset Bridal Dress and Floral Headpiece

BUDGET £15 – 20K

This gothic wedding is beautifully styled infusing the couples Irish heritage and their love for everything winter. Foraged evergreen foliage added a touch of wild nature to the day, whilst the cosy candlelight and open fires made a haven inside on the dark November night. The Pilgrim’s Rest played host this celebration, found next to Battle Abbey, with witch’s symbols engraved on the venue’s window ledges and the tales of spirits accentuated by the haunting sounds of the Gaelic Uillean pipes. Keeping all the suppliers as local as possible this bride and groom made the most of East Sussex is a creative place and everyone executed their vision and ethos perfectly.

Autumnal Colour Scheme for a Gothic Wedding in London with Story of My Dress Bridal Gown and Doughnut Wall

I can’t think of two themes richer in colours or flavours than those which inspire this wedding: autumn and Mexico. The striking shades of Sophie & Steve’s autumnal colour scheme – mustards, rust and berries – are vibrant and vivacious, and work so well on all levels: from the mismatched bridesmaids dresses to the bouquets and doughnut wall. Mexican catering, plus margaritas, must have kept guests extremely happy, and a note on the cake – a three-tiered vegan chocolate cherry and almond number – made by local bakery Luminary, a social enterprise that provides training, community and employment opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged women. Now that truly has a RMW stamp of approval.

Anabel & Callum

Millar Cole Photography delivers a dream in imagery. Hoxton Hall isdraped in enough faux foliage to recreate a forest for this “Turkish / Scottish / Victorian theatrical riot” of a wedding.

Self-styled by the Bride, Anabel, the day is a perfect combination of her husband’s Scottish roots with her Turkish heritage and is carried out with such romanticism and creativity. The venue is dressed impeccably, especially the table decor. It reminds me of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream, whimsical, dreamlike and packs a punch to the senses.

Anabel says her I Do’s dripping in 1950’s layered vintage lace from House Of Vintage Bride but changes to a hot pink 1970’s caped evening dress for dancing.

With Entertainment at the top of the budget for this wedding, you can see it is well spent,  it looks like everyone had a total blast.

Spoiler, things you’ll want to pin – lace vintage, Croque en Bouche, faux foliage, how to dress your venue, favours.

Grace & Mat

You’ll be forgiven for thinking we’ve taken you back in time at this lovely vintage wedding. Bride Grace is an absolute siren in a sumptuous satin and lace gown, and groom Mat looks dashing in a three piece suit. Plus the deep burgundy hue of the bridesmaid dresses are absolutely delicious.

The Asylum and Town Hall Hotel ceremony and reception venues couldn’t be more perfect to host the timeless day. Filled with atmospheric candle light, greenery and gorgeous florals, as well as tender moments, love and smiles, all captured to perfection by Kevin Fern Photography.

For The Love of Manchester {Industrial Beauty}

Move over festoon lights there’s a new kid in town; the Edison lights. They frame this industrial shoot, paying homeage to Manchester beautifully. As does the use of concrete, metals and reclaimed wood together with geometric shapes, marble effect cakes and luxury fabrics, and finishes.

The nostalgia, meets modern concept was planned and styled to perfection by The Urban Wedding Company who did an excellent job of subtly celebrating Manchester’s history, as well as including lots of wedding themes trending now.

Kerry of 2 Ducks Galleries captured all the genius, including those epic lights, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Enjoy.
