Anybody else in total shock that it’s September already?! I know I am! So we’re defying the odds and rewinding time today to marvel at this beautiful Spring wedding at Cotswolds wedding venue, Merriscourt. Photographed by the wonderful Irene Yap who worked incredibly hard on the day to give Jo & Tom the most beautiful, creative photos that really do their rustic wedding day justice in every way. Capturing all the tiny intimate moments as well as the monumentous ones. Just wait until you see the confetti and sparkler exits as well as the wedding parties adorable selfies.
This lovely couple got married in rural Kent with the reception held at the Grooms Aunt’s stunning grade II listed country house. A true English country wedding.
We see more and more the use of a family members home as their venue and it really is so special and incredibly personal. I really love the use of floral wreaths in the interior decor of the sailcloth tent they used as their reception venue within the stunning grounds of the house. The florals were provided by The List members Florist in the Forest.
The colours and textures in this morning’s stylish winter wedding will have you longing to pull your faux fur and sequins out of your wardrobe – Alyssa and Simon certainly know how to throw a festive shindig. They used a peacock feather as inspiration for their colour palette which means the whole day is filled with opulent purples, blues and golds, even the flowers. The bouquet and arrangements by Jay Archer are just exquisite.
Alyssa is a choreographer so naturally dance played a big part in her wedding day, everyone piled onto the dance floor to join her and Simon following their first dance, for which they wore customised Nikes and baseball hats. Don’t worry, it’s all been captured beautifully by Irene Yap so you can have a good nosey…
This is not the first time we’ve been lucky enough to grace our pages with gorgeous images by Irene Yap of Connie & Joe’s wonderful love story. We also featured their engagement shoot. We knew then their wedding was going to be equally fabulous. That and the fact that Connie is Founder of stunning jewellery company Astrid & Miyu, which the whole RMLtd team absolutely adore.
Connie wears a Grace Loves Lace Hollie dress which is simply stunning. So floaty and ethereal, and suits her down to the ground. She tops it with a flower crown with a big bloomsey coral peony that sits beautifully on her luscious wavy locks. There isn’t one picture of her that doesn’t captured her kind spirit and infectious smile, but why wouldn’t you be beaming from ear to ear when you get to marry your beau surrounded by your family and friends with the picturesque Walled Garden at Cowdry Park as your backdrop.
So much pretty. Get ready to PIN!
A pre wedding shoot where you get to wear your bridal gown before the big day definitely sounds like a (Chinese) tradition I would love to adopt. I mean who doesn’t want to be able to wear their gorgeous gown more than once? Especially if it’s one as dreamy as Emma’s. Although I must confess I’m equally in love with her laser cut Peter Pan collared dress too.
After the couple flew in from Shanghai, Irene Yap took them to the London streets which hold so many memories of their time dating. Each location has provided the most amazing backdrops for their portraits. Paddington Station has never looked so good, and Hyde Park looks like a heavenly English country garden.
This is definitely an engagement shoot to swell the heart, and the perfect start to a Friday afternoon.
