How dreamy does Georgie look? There’s something so ethereal about her gorgeous embellished gown with it’s bell sleeves and that stunning Juliet cap veil from Britten. As well as looking beautiful herself, Georgie has styled Chenies Manor to perfection too. With foliage in abundance, a leaf motif that is carried through every paper detail and an almost-too-good-to-eat wedding cake, covered in edible flowers.
I adore a Winter wedding as the cold gives everyone a fresh glow, the bold colours appear even more vibrant and somehow it feels as if everything is more glamorous – maybe it’s the faux fur, smart shoes and gentlemen in waistcoats? Anyway, Joanna and Pete’s wedding is industrial luxe at it’s very finest. Joanna looks so chic in a bespoke gown with the most gorgeous sequin work on the top, the bridesmaids look sophisticated in black (who says it doesn’t work for weddings?!) and the boys look dapper in RMW fave Jack Bunneys.
The whole day feels stylish yet relaxed and has been captured beautifully by Heather at Eclection Photography, I love the images of the girls getting ready together and she has also captured the season to perfection, you can almost hear the rustle of leaves as you look through this feature…
Jack Bunneys are one of our all time favourites when it comes to finding the perfect wedding suit. They always have such beautiful fabrics and cuts, and you know that with Jack Bunneys the guys are going to love every minute of finding their outfit. After all, why should us girls have all the fun?
Oh I do love a navy and pink colour scheme – it’s classic and elegant, but also pretty and fun too. Take the combination of the Bridesmaids navy maxi dresses, with their cute pink astilbe bouquets as the example. It looks SO good. As does Laura in her elegant Essence of Australia gown and veil from Isabella Grace. Swoon! And lets not forget the boys, who look super handsome in RMW favourites Jack Bunneys.
Lovely Laura used RMW a lot while planning her big day, which obviously we love to hear! In fact, her venue, The Matara Centre has featured on these pages many times in the past. Why not search for your venue in the search tab above and see whether any gems in our archives pop up? Although they may not have the same decor choices as you, looking at how other people have used the space is always helpful. And if you’re still on the look out for a venue, check out the Love Lust List for inspiration.
But in the meantime, let’s head back to Gloucestershire, for this stylish shindig. There’s some fairy light action you’re not going to want to miss…
For our first destination wedding of 2016 we’re off to France, home of many beautiful weddings we’ve been lucky enough to feature (and if you want to see them, click on the Real Weddings tab above and search by location – you’ll find some dreamy weddings there).
Talking of which, Steph and Adam’s big day is absolutely gorgeous too. They are a stunning couple for a start, the venue is incredible, just look at those views of the rolling French countryside! And we love that Steph found Castelnau des Fieumarcon in a magazine, tore out the feature and kept it stashed away in preparation for her wedding. A girl after our own hearts. Plus she created an hour-by-hour event plan to get everyone organised – we love her.
As well as the golden light filled images from Life Stories, we also have the wedding film produced by them too – very talented boys. Enjoy this one lovelies, everything is so beautiful and who wouldn’t want to be transported to sunny France on a dull January day?!?!
This is one to share with the man in your life – the experience of having a bespoke suit made is probably something your other half has never experienced before – so we asked the lovely and very knowledgeable Marc at Gentlemen’s Outfitters Jack Bunneys to answer some of our questions about what to expect from a suit fitting…
Right, October has well and truly started, there’s a definite chill in the air and we’ve decided to fully embrace it. We LOVE Autumn here at RMW – the deeper colours, the mix of textures, and one of the best ways to embrace the season for your Autumn/Winter wedding is with Menswear. Think different fabrics – tweed, wool and mohair. Think different colours – burgundy, navy, browns, even mustard yellows can all be used here. Throw in fun accessories like jazzy socks and hip flasks and push the boat out with outerwear like these seriously smart overcoats from Chester Barrie, and you’ve got some very handsome looking Grooms…
Along with looks from two of our favourite tailors, Jack Bunneys and Chester Barrie, we’ve gathered some of the best seasonal looks for the boys. (And if you spot anything you love, you can see the full collections from both tailors here on Rock My Wedding).
This morning’s wedding has a special place in my heart for two reasons; the first being ‘literature’ – a theme that Eleanor and James cleverly weaved through every element of their wedding decor from their stationery through to their wedding cake. Honestly it looks the bees knees and speaks to the bibliophile in me and I’m sure will make plenty of you smile too.
The second is the pair’s approach and attitude to their wedding day – their determination to do things ‘their way’ but also to avoid becoming Bridezillas in the process resulting in a day full of joy and laughter for their family and friends.
And it doesn’t hurt that Eleanor’s dress is to die for and the boys look dapper in their tweed get-ups and that there are oodles of decorative details that you’ll just want to pin as well. Oh and that picture of the gorgeous duo walking through the blossom filled apple orchard? SWOON!
Gone are the days when your wedding day outfit choice was only about your dress. Today just as much attention is paid to what the Groom is wearing and the search for that perfect suit has become an important part of wedding day prep. Grooms now put as much time, effort and money into finding their outfits as the Brides do!
Wedding style in general has become more and more unique and Grooms are now choosing a look that reflects them and their own individual style. That’s where Jack Bunneys comes in. If you’re looking for a well established British company to provide smart attire for your big day – then look no further. Jack Bunneys have been making and hiring suits since 1958 and are still going strong today.
