Your wedding day is all about chasing your heart, and this romantic Italian castle wedding is proof that when the heart knows what it wants, the mind will follow. When Australian couple Cindy and Jason couldn’t find their dream venue at home, they looked across continents – and it took them only 15 minutes to find their perfect venue in the gorgeous green hills of Umbria. And we bet our bottom dollar they will be forever glad they listened to their hearts because the setting of La Badia Di Orvieto – amidst olive trees and vineyards – is sensational. Not to mention the incredible golden hour light the Italian summer blessed them with. Just wait until you see their couple’s portraits. Stunning.
I think this might just be my favourite destination wedding ever. I know! Big words indeed, but Emma and Matt’s dream Italian wedding at a Tuscan castle is very much deserving of this honour. From the flowers, to the fashion, from the decor to the traditional Italian cake, every last detail has been perfectly chosen by Emma and her wedding planner Vanessa.
The beautiful images obviously come from the wonderful James Frost, whose style is just unrivalled as far as I’m concerned. Book him for your wedding and you won’t regret it. Emma and Matt certainly don’t…
Happy New Year gorgeous ones! We’re kicking things off in style, as always, with this belter of a wedding from James Frost. Bride Claire looks utterly stunning in a bespoke gown by Hermione De Paula (who should be on your bridal radar if you’re searching for a truly heirloom piece of couture). The boys all look dapper in tails, which I always adore for a church wedding.
The flowers will blow your mind – Claire sourced long metal animal feeders and filled them with blooms to create the most beautiful living floral runners. The result is just dreamy and so unique, the perfect way to inspire you lovely lot for our first real wedding of 2019.
Look out for the epic cake too, this duo are lucky enough to call Hannah Hickman family and she created the most incredible pink sprinkle cake for them! Enjoy gorgeous readers, here’s to a wonderful 2019 for us all.
Continuing with this morning’s Christmas vibes, we have this magical elopement wedding from Iceland giving us all the festive feels this afternoon. Jess wears a sequinned Suzanne Harward dress, which fits her like a glove and looks luminous against the dramatic Icelandic scenery.
James Frost has an incredible skill for capturing light and dark, the contrast in his work is always beautiful. All done using his amazing eye and editing skills, no lighting or trickery. Some of these images really did take my breath away! Jess and Lucas must be utterly thrilled with them…
Belle and Matt’s beautiful DIY village hall wedding is the ultimate example of how to use your wedding budget wisely. A clever balance of DIY projects and help from friends, but spending in all the right places like on photography from James Frost, a stunning wedding dress by Anna Kara and incredible food. I feel like this is how to get married now. It’s stylish, special and celebrates the couple’s personal story, but it’s not ostentatious.
Look out for the vinyl favours, each one sourced personally for every guest. Such a special touch and a reminder that favours don’t always have to be displayed on the tables. If you’re hoping to have a gorgeous wedding on a budget, then make sure you’ve listened to our latest podcast episode, and read this feature – both of which cover exactly that.
But in the mean time, enjoy this magical day…captured beautifully by James.
You know you’ve done the right thing when family & friends who learn of your recent elopement say “that’s so you” Plus the fact that you’ve always dreamed of climbing the mountains just you and your beau saying I do in an intimate ceremony.
James Frost Photography takes us on the journey with our adorable couple Ruth & Aengus, capturing all the wonders of the Faroe Islands, just North of Scotland, as well as all those off the cart adorable moments by the happy couple.
From the first look, to the warm embraces, get ready for your heart to swell.
