You can’t beat the feeling of being at home, which is exactly where Annika & Richard chose to have their gorgeous marquee wedding. They filled it with foliage, Edison bulbs and all their favourites, resulting in a joyous Summer wedding on the Isle of Wight captured by the formidable duo Jason Mark Harris and Harris Films.
I mean these two – ALL the heart eyes. Sarah looks utterly incredible in her gown (a second-hand Pronovias number don’t you know)! And her savvy shopping meant she could wear a second gown for the evening, because let’s face it, those accessories deserved another dress to adorn. As well as ticking all the sartorial boxes, this pair had, (and this is possibly one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen at a wedding), a DJ battle, complete with ring-entrances, boxing gloves and robes. I know, epic right?
As well as knowing how to save money and throw an incredible party, this duo are awesome at selecting a photographer too. They opted for the amazing Jason Mark Harris, who we are biggggg fans of here at RMW towers. Not only did Jason shoot their day beautifully, but he shot their film too which is just so much fun and absolutely worth a watch on this fine Saturday morning…
There’s nothing better than a perfect peach wedding. Especially when they include big bloomsey Dahlias and David Austin roses, and furniture and decor hire from some our favourite suppliers.
The location for all this beautifulness was the local family church and rustic luxe venue Swanton Morley House and Gardens in Norfolk. And taking centre stage amongst all the pretty was the gorgeous Ria and David, whose love shone through and allowed Jason Mark Harris Photography and Together We Roam Films to capture some truly heartfelt moments.
This ridiculously stylish and handsome pair had me on board from the word go with their atmospheric and moving engagement shoot, shot by the one and only Jason Mark Harris and his lovely wife, Sarah of Harris Films. I just knew their River Cottage wedding was going to be gorgeous and full of fun and let’s just say it doesn’t disappoint! With understated rustic styling, incredible fashion, the fabulous food River Cottage is renowned for and even a surprise salsa dancing session for guests, it’s pretty much the perfect wedding day. With a little welly wanging and kimono wearing thrown in for good measure.
I have a feeling Andrew and Scott are going to steal your hearts, so sit back, relax and soak up all of the joy…
Adalia (such a pretty name!) and Tom had a beautiful, elegant and classic hotel wedding near Bath. They opted for white and green florals, their stationery had a touch of Art Deco about it and the fashion choices are spot on. Everything is beautiful styled but in a relaxed, understated way.
I’m loving the lace overlay on Adalia’s dress, her ‘something blue’ shoes and her gorgeous jacket for those chilly evening couple shots. She looks like the perfect winter bride, complete with a touch of sparkle in her hair. As always, Jason Mark Harris has captured everything with such atmosphere and emotion, I’ve loved looking at the images.
It always makes us really happy to read things like this from real brides ‘Planning the wedding from so far away had it’s challenges, but all I can say is thank goodness for RMW to help find inspiration, local vendors and resources – I found most of our vendors this way!‘
Connecting you lovely lot with fabulous wedding suppliers is our favourite thing – so much so that we have a wedding directory, filled with RMW approved wedding vendors who are all super talented and creative. And if it means you have a wedding day as beautiful and full of love as Veronique and Matthew’s then I think you better head over there sharpish 😉
Our gorgeous couple chose Jason Mark Harris to document their day, we have the film from Harris Films too – so get comfy and enjoy, the blooms are out of this world and there’s a stunner of a dress too!!!
Natasha & Aaq weren’t blessed with particularly wonderful weather on their big day, but that certainly didn’t that stop them from having the best time. I actually think Larmer Tree Gardens, their venue, looks even more beautiful in the rain – everything is so green and luscious. And the atmospheric style of their photographer Jason Mark Harris lends itself perfectly to the changing light too. Their day looks elegant, cosy and inviting – which is how you want people to feel on a wet, grey day.
Natasha’s styling is gorgeous too, a navy and gold combination is always a winner and the sweet llama details adds a touch of fun. Don’t worry, I’ve included tonnes of photographs below – including more of THAT sparkler send off…
When this beauty of a wedding hit our inboxes, there were collective squeals at RMW HQ and I’m pretty certain that you’re going to love it too. Firstly, the images come from Jason Mark Harris, so you just know everything will have been captured to perfection and there will be some dusky couple shots to-die-for. Mai is wearing Hermione De Paula, whose bespoke floral creations are captivating – honestly that lady knows how to create a stunning dress. Not only is Mai’s day time dress utterly beautiful, but our stylish bride changed into a slinky Reformation number for the evening. And let’s just say SLAY is the only appropriate word. Mai looks incredible.
I haven’t even mentioned the epic peony filled bouquet, square shaped concrete look cake, the incredible woodland setting or caravan photo booth (!) Every aspect of this wedding is fabulously stylish and brilliantly fun. So grab a cup of tea, get comfy and enjoy…
When you look at wedding photography every single day, you really start to get an idea of what it takes to be an excellent photographer. And Jason Mark Harris is most definitely one of them. I always find his imagery emotive, visually stunning and very thoughtful – but somehow this gorgeous Icelandic pre-wedding shoot has managed to top everything I’ve ever seen from him before. I know – big words indeed, but it’s true. These images of Andrew and Scott truly gave me a lump in my throat and made my heart swell.
Perhaps it’s the combination of the stunning scenery, the simplicity of the shoot and the ease of presence that just radiates from the couple? Whatever it is, it takes some skill to really capture all of these things in the single click of a camera. We’ll be sharing Andrew & Scott’s wedding with you all at some point soon, but for now, let’s just revel in the beauty of these images…and celebrate the fact that these long-term lovers can now have a proper wedding day, just like the millions of lovers that have gone before them.
