Katie & Simon

I love featuring barn weddings that are elegant and chic – as much as I love a wild and rustic thrown together look – it’s always lovely to show you just how versatile a wedding venue space can be – and Southend Barns is looking particularly stylish today. With minimal details and a clean colour palette of white and gold (albeit with lots of twinkling fairy lights) the finished look is just gorgeous.

Katie’s choice of styling for the venue is reflected in her form-fitting gown by Johanna Hehir and the gold sequinned Bridesmaids dresses. The group of sisters look so gorgeous. And talking of sisters, Simon’s very talented one, Kelly, did all of the flowers!

The lovely portraits of the couple in the rain should hopefully quell anyone’s fears of rain on their wedding day…what could be more romantic than a kiss under an umbrella in the pouring rain?

Charlotte & Toby

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, especially when there is a gorgeous wedding going on and a fabulous nautical theme with seaside trinkets.

I love Charlotte’s beautiful Johanna Hehir wedding dress and that she adapted her look to suit her style by adding a super cute lace Sassi Holford cape. The bridesmaids, flower girls and page boy all look adorable too in their budget friendly high street fashion and how can I leave the Groomsmen out who look very dapper in their traditional morning suits.

All the guests look like they are having a super time in the giant tipi and surrounding gardens, and who wouldn’t with all the fabulous games, food & entertainment on offer!

Sadie & Paul

Oh my goodness, THAT bouquet!!! Isn’t it beautiful? So perfectly Autumnal. In fact, Sadie and Paul’s whole wedding is a lovely homage to September, when the light begins to change and the colours become deeper and more muted. I would never have thought that shades of burgundy, olive green and navy could work for a wedding – but brought together by the Yorkshire Tweed worn by the gents, it works wonderfully!

This wedding comes from my childhood neck-of-the-woods, so I’m loving the use of hops and apples – the smells take me straight to my Mum’s kitchen and I can imagine made the yurt smell delicious too. If you’re stuck for decor ideas, I always think using the natural surroundings and colours of the location of your wedding venue works really well, particularly with a marquee, tipi or yurt.

Emilie & Charlie

Can I just start by saying what a handsome couple and bridal party Emilie & Charlie have, everybody is SO stylish, sexy and cool! The ASOS dresses Emilie found for her bridesmaids are gorgeous and would rival a wedding dress or two! Not Emilie’s Johanna Hehir’s gown though; the lace detail and delicate low back of the dress is absolutely stunning!

I haven’t even got to the beautiful florals yet, which were all arranged by an old family friend turned florist and captured the woodland outdoor garden element Emilie was so desperate to recreate at her urban city wedding.

This wedding truly proves anything is possible if you have a clear vision and a few helpful friends.

Simplicity.

This afternoon we’re sharing with you one of the Editorial features from our recently published magazine – which if you missed it you can see in full here.

With ‘Simplicity’ we wanted to peel back all of the layers of unnecessary detail and make it all about the girl and the dress. And of course the flowers – because flowers are never unnecessary.

Sticking to a palette of whites and greens, keeping make up at a minimum and with no sparkly jewels, this really is all about letting your natural beauty shine through and proves that sometimes, less really is more.

The 2014 Collection From Johanna Hehir

This afternoon we’ve got the gorgeous new collection from Johanna Hehir to show you.

The gowns are utterly feminine – perfect for a Bride who wants to feel girly on her big day.

I love that the collection mixes classic Bridal shapes with hints at vintage design – the elegant Iris for example has a pretty wrap detail bodice and lace capped sleeves. But there’s a touch of bohemia in there too – Iona, with it’s high halter neck would be perfect with a messy updo pinned with flowers…

A Summer Soirée With The Fashion Pack.

summersoiree

With the weather being so beautiful, this afternoon we’re turning our attention to outfits for summer occasions – be it a garden party, a pool party, a trip out on the river, a glamorous beachside bar – our Fashion Pack members have got it covered. Actually, that doesn’t really do it justice…they’ve got it covered with style!

There are some seriously covetable items – what else would you expect from Johanna Hehir, Naomi Neoh, Suzanne Neville, Charlotte Balbier and the Belle & Bunty ladies?

So, let us know if any of the designers have picked things you love, if you’ve been tempted to purchase anything…and if you’ve got any great recommendations for the perfect outfit for a summery celebration then do let us know – the RMW team don’t need much encouragement to shop!

The Fashion Pack Asks What’s In Your Suitcase { Part One }.

What's-In-Your-Suitcase

As I write this, I’m looking out of my window at the torrential rain that Mother Nature has decided to gift us on this very grey Friday in April. Technically I know I/we should be grateful; the plants get a thirst-quenching drink and I’m sure that bluer skies will probably be on their way next week. I can’t help feeling a bit miffed however…I mean it’s the end of April and frankly I still feel that we’re in the depths of Winter at times.

Come on Summer!

With dreams of warmer climes and balmy nights on the brain, the RMW team turned their thoughts to summer holidays this week…more specifically honeymoons. In fact some of you lovelies might already be ‘mooning as we speak (which actually makes me a very jealous girl indeed) but then I know there’ll be a fair few of you planning and scheming about your romantic holiday to come and which essentials to pack for the journey.

If you’re anything like me then you’re a veritable hoarder, squirrelling away the equivalent of a year’s worth of provisions for a five day city break. Ridiculous. Yep, you can guarantee that I’ll be the only one out of my family that will check in luggage for the hold rather than taking a carry-on…much to their dismay, but this girl can’t help it. Are any of you guilty of ‘travelling heavy’?

With this packing dilemma in mind we turned to our delicious Fashion Pack designers for a little bit of their divine wisdom and a helping hand and asked them which items they simply couldn’t travel without…

This week we’ll be hearing from Belle & Bunty, Kate Halfpenny, Naomi Neoh and Johanna Hehir. Check back next Friday for more inspiration from Charlotte Balbier, Wednesday Roses and Suzanne Neville.

A French Forest Fairytale.

frenchforest

This afternoon we’re venturing into wedding fantasy land. French wedding fantasy land to be precise. Which is definitely a wonderful place to be.

This dreamy inspiration shoot comes from the lovely Louise at B.Loved who always sends us the prettiest, most romantic inspiration features.

Think blowsy roses, lashings of sage green foliage, delicate hearted shaped macarons, tiny gold forest animals and the most beautiful, unashamedly feminine Johanna Hehir gowns.

And if you loved the photography from this mornings wedding, then you’ll be pleased to know that this shoot was captured by the same photographer. Yes, Anneli Marinovich really is a super star.

Enjoy the pretty lovely ones.
