Planning your wedding from another country is pretty intense and quite scary, imagine not seeing your venue until your actual wedding?! Well that’s exactly what Sophia and David did. They totally hit-it-off on the phone with the Launcells Barton team, and could see the potential in the then unfinished venue. I think this is the key – find suppliers that really understand you and your vision for your wedding, and with a little trust (and fairy dust) it’ll all fall into place…
We couldn’t agree more with the statement L E S S I S M O R E.
Especially when you have a beautiful location such as Launcells Barton in Cornwall as your backdrop. Plus the talented styling and design skills of On Serpentine Shores to make sure it is shown off to its full potential. Perfectly drawing upon both classical and contemporary elements from talented local suppliers to create simple, minimalistic inspiration.
The tablescape with ceramic pots, semi naked cakes and a few carefully placed flowers are more than enough to make your heart skip a beat. Especially with Peach & Jo’s beautiful captures. And that beautifully fitted Cherry Williams backless bridal gown is to die for. I think even Meghan herself, the princess of understated elegance, would agree.
Alli and James chose the stunning Launcells Barton as their wedding venue. The pair adore Cornwall and so Launcells, with it’s gorgeous location, luxurious accommodation and epic new reception barn was the perfect place to host their wedding. With guests flying in from all over the world, treating them to a weekend of fun was really important and Lara & Matt (Launcell’s owners) were there to help every step of the way.
If you’re looking for a venue in the South West then do have a nosey at Launcells Barton, they have an open day coming up on 28th Jan – so why not treat yourself to a mini break in Cornwall and visit? You can see the full details and make an appointment via their website. But first, let’s share Alli and James’ joyful big day…
Gorgeous venue Launcells Barton is one of our favourites in the South West – it’s location is stunning and all of the spaces you can use for your wedding ceremony and reception are just lovely. This is the first time I’ve seen the new events barn used for a wedding day, it looks so pretty decked out in pinks and rose gold for Ellie and Matt’s big day. Plus the new bar looks epic too. If you want an exclusive hire venue in the South West then you really must visit.
Ellie and Matt really made the most of every space available to them at Launcells – they held their ceremony outside in the glorious sunshine and guests enjoyed drinks and ice creams in the beautiful grounds too. This is a true slice of British summer wedding goodness, so enjoy! Summer 2018 will be here before we know it…
It’s truly magical to get married in the Winter time. A gorgeous ambience can be created with the candle light, the rich tones of the foliage and berries and the wealth of textures that just seem to lend themselves better to the colder months, like faux fur and tweed. There’s definitely something special about the bleakness of Winter and this has been captured to perfection in today’s shoot from Launcells Barton.
If you’ve fallen for the venue as much as we have, then make sure you’re registered to attend their open day NEXT WEEKEND, there are just a few spaces remaining.
We’re a rather soppy bunch here at Rock My Wedding, and no, you don’t harden to it despite being surrounded by love stories all day every day. It’s fair to say Launcells Barton immediately appealed to our romantic, emotive side, and thankfully our initial impression was not disappointed. This is not just a stunning venue which is steeped in family history, owners Matt and Lara offer something truly special. This is a family business, with the venue being in Matt’s family since 1949. Matt and his partner Lara recently lovingly restored Launcells Barton, returning it to its former glory, and having experienced themselves what a wonderful venue it is for a celebration, they desperately wanted to share it. With testimonials coming in thick and fast, and pretty much all of them waxing lyrical about the incredible hosts Matt and Lara are, it felt only right that we welcome them and their gorgeous Cornwall venue to The Love Lust List.
The setting for this incredibly gorgeous country wedding is non other than our fabulous front page sponsors and Love Lust List members Launcells Barton, and oh my it is going to take your breath away.
Every moment and detail captured by McGivern Photography is incredible. You can feel the love bouncing off the page, especially during the magical sunset portraits. With fabulous DIY projects adding to the elegant rustic vibe, including the amazing wooden sign put together by the bride & groom, and sentimental gestures of tribal shawls from the Brides Mum to pay tribute to the brides heritage.
After you’ve finished swooning over this inspiring day and you realise you love Launcells Barton as much as we do, you’ll be pleased to know they have an open day at the end of January. Why not pop along, we promise you won’t regret it.
Now lets take a look…
It isn’t often we come across a venue that captures our heart quite like Launcells Barton has. It is truly magical. The Cornish countryside is breathtaking and Launcells Barton sits perfectly in this beautiful landscape. but it is the love and care that the owners have put into creating this stunning venue that sets it apart, making it the perfect setting for your big day.
