When it comes to your wedding you know we are strong believers in ‘your day your way’, so whether your choice of wedding dress is black, white or any other alternative wedding dress choice, be true to yourself and wear what makes you feel fabulous. We’re bringing you some alternative inspiration this afternoon to show you traditions and sartorial choices are only there to be followed if you want to. So if you fancy eloping to the mountains for an intimate wedding stick around as we think you’re going to love this.
I’m pretty sure I’ve died and gone to bohemian heaven thanks to this stunning wedding, which is intimate, classy, trendy, rustic and romantic all in one. Multicultural couple Loredana & Jonatan live in Sweden but planned their dream day in Spain, inviting their guests to join them for three days of celebrations at the magical Marqués de Montemolar in Altea. The perfect October weather is matched by the picture perfect décor, with a macrame table plan, copper chairs, outdoor banquet table and floral arch. And then there’s our bride, in an utterly spectacular boho chic dress. Plus, the Orthodox ceremony involves a crown. Enough said.
We are bringing you all the goosebumps with this forest themed wedding, a day that is not only spectacularly stylish (and completely DIY-ed) but also a testament and tribute to the strength of love. Groom Will was diagnosed with cancer at the start of 2018, six months before he was due to marry Kirsty – his childhood sweetheart – in June. Too poorly to make the original date, the couple postponed their wedding until September, grateful that all of their suppliers were able to accommodate the difficult situation and new date. Wonderfully, Will got the all-clear before the wedding, turning the day into the most poignant and perfect celebration. We could not be more thrilled for this sweet couple, or more in awe of their epic styling efforts, which nail their rustic boho brief beautifully.
This boho wedding – with macrame decor, a woodland ceremony and bright blooms – has me beaming from ear to ear. Not only because every inch of the day is utterly beautiful, but also because there are so many special touches: a proud dad-daughter moment walking down the aisle; the bride dancing to Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight with her 87 year old grandad; a ring box made from the wood of the bride’s grandfather’s apple tree; and 30 sleeping bags, sourced by the mother of the bride, being donated to homeless shelters once the wedding celebrations were over. Little wonder Emma from Freckle Photography describes the couple as two of the nicest people she’s ever met. This is one utterly gorgeous wedding which will warm your heart whilst also leaving you dreaming of your own woodland wonderland.
You may want to get your pinning fingers ready because this outdoor woodland wedding at Upthorpe Wood is full of fabulous DIY decor and ideas. There are macramé and dreamcatcher hangings, plus glitter stations, ‘bake off’ cake tables and a whole lot more to boot!
Jenny and Tom are the smiliest of couples and their entire boho wedding is a delight to pore over from start to finish. Enjoy.
Full to bursting with love and emotion from real life couple the Two Bohemians, and immense styling, decor and florals from Rock the Day Styling, Anthology Vintage Hire and Velvet Rose Flower Studio. Adding the finishing touches was the sweet wedding stationery from Wonderland Invites, and fabulous macrame hangings.
You’ll be pleased to know this whole boho wedding is full of goals. From the outdoor ceremony with it’s floral arch, Persian rugs and macrame chair backs to the festoon lit al fresco reception, and glorious wooden signs adorned in greenery. Not to mention the incredibly beautiful wedding party dressed in ethereal gowns and flower crowns topping their gorgeous mermaid locks. If we could swap barnets right now please ladies I’d be a very happy lady 😉
We’ve not shared any images by the lovely Adam and Grace Photography before, but I hope we do again soon as they capture so much detail and emotion, I almost felt like I was there celebrating alongside this lovely Irish couple at their destination French wedding.
Now are you sitting comfortably? Because you are about to have your socks knocked off.
Not only have Fringe and Fray got an awesome name for their Macramé business, but they’ve also got an incredible talent for styling too.
This wonderful bohemian inspiration mixes the free spirit of the seventies with tropical leaves and vintage bridal wear all in a rustic setting. Proving you truly can have a day your way.
You’re are going to LOVE this mornings wedding. The eclectic 70’s American bohemian style at Wood Farm Barns is a thing of wonder. There’s patriotic flags, traditional mail boxes and signs, all combined with macrame hangings, succulent centrepieces and greenery. Making some pretty fabulous PIN-spiration.
The couples love of New York and the outside runs deeper still, even opting for a New York cheesecake as their wedding cake, plus their fabulous camper van photo booth also originated from New York. Have you seen all the props yet? So cool.
The mood looks perfectly chilled and inviting and we can’t thank Steed Photography for sharing her beautiful captures with us.
