Carlynne & Paul

The tones in this morning’s wedding are just sooooo beautiful. Gorgeous maids in lilac with a deeper purple in the bouquets, accented with pops of yellow and all bathed in soft Scottish summer light. I always love featuring weddings from The Byre at Inchyra, it truly looks like a magical venue – with it’s fairy lit ceremony room, stunning brick barn with huge doors, all surrounded by rolling countryside. Our couple Carlynne & Paul certainly fell for it, this was the only venue they visited. It was love at first sight for Carlynne and her Suzanne Neville dress too – again this was the first dress she tried on!

Images come from the wonderful Maureen Du Preez, whose weddings I adore featuring as she somehow always captures the invisible moments at a wedding – peoples thoughts and feelings. And these are the things you want to remember about your wedding day, so she’s one very talented lady. Right, let’s begin shall we? If you’re getting married in Scotland, prepare to get excited…

Sarah & Steven

Sarah and Steven married on the edge of Loch Lomond, which has to be up there with one of the most beautiful places in the world. They were incredibly lucky with the weather and the sun shone down on their big day, meaning they could go ahead with a ceremony right at the edge of the water. It’s just magical.

Sarah planned lots of their big day from Australia and managed to DIY loads of components too – which is no mean feat when you’re on the other side of the world. Lots of organisation, online shopping and an obvious LOVE for wedding planning definitely helped 😉 The final result is gorgeous, really homespun and heartfelt.

Images come from Maureen Du Preez whose dreamy style always inspires me. Enjoy this one lovelies!

Sarah & Paul

You really feel like you’re on the edge of the earth at this Isle of Lewis wedding. I have never seen views like it, with the gorgeous rustic marquee set up near Bosta Beach at the north end of Great Bernera, taking full advantage of the Atlantic ocean and wild Outer Hebrides backdrop.

The scenic drive between the islands in the couples classic car is heavenly as are the sunset portraits captured by Maureen du Preez. And I have to say your are going to be completely spoilt with all the delicious DIY decor the couple added to their reception. There’s wooden crates, woods slices, palettes and more, all adorned with the prettiest of wild blooms and florals.

Lets face it a Scottish wedding wouldn’t be complete without a groom in a tartan kilt and I must say Paul wears it well, not quite as well as Bride Sarah in her Essense of Australia Zita gown though, but we always have a huge soft spot for the bride. Shall we take a look?

Skye & Phil

Stop what you’re doing, kick back and get ready to have your mind blown as this Atzaró Ibiza wedding is flippin’ HOT, and I’m not talking about the climate.

The groomsmen all look fabulous in cropped trousers, loafers, braces and bow ties, with groom Phil standing out in a pale blue blazer. Then there’s the bridesmaids in mis-match white dresses to compliment their personalities. And in the centre of all those lovelies is Bride Skye in a truly stunning Watters Cora gown. The perfect mix of sexy and sophisticated.

The pool side ceremony literally makes my heart race, with the Balearic sun glistening on the water, and the tropical palm tree’s framing the gorgeous nuptials.

Maureen du Preez brings this stylish wedding to life, perfectly capturing the bride & grooms custom designed details and most importantly the love and happiness.

Jenny & George

Oh my goodness – that bouquet!!! It’s only March and I’m already declaring it my favourite of 2016! The colours, the shape, the textures – it’s just so pretty and not like anything I’ve seen before. And wait until you see the Bridesmaids bouquets and the gorgeous fresh flower hair embellishments…

Jenny & George’s big day is full of gorgeous and unusual decor details, with a theme of ‘peace, love and revolution’ it was kind of inevitable really and meant that the feel of the day was really relaxed. Their venue, The Perch, a riverside pub in Oxfordshire, is such a beautiful location to hold a reception and it’s lovely to see everyone outside enjoying the sunshine.

And Bride Jenny looks beautiful in Claire Pettibone, her gown has that soft tulle-and-lace swish factor and you can tell it has lovely movement just from the images. Which by the way, come from the fabulous Maureen Du Preez, whose work is just dreamy as always.

Anna & George

I feel like I say this with every real wedding we feature – but I really, really, really LOVE this wedding 😉

Anna & George tied the knot in a field in the middle of nowhere in the most stunning tent from LPM Bohemia. Anna wore a Laure de Sagazan gown, my Bridal designer crush of the moment, and accessorised with a gorgeous cape. I know, I totally need a cape now too…

The Bridesmaids also look beautiful in red dresses and there are just so many gorgeous details to swoon over, from the wild flowers, to the animal stationery illustrated by a friend, from the wooden log bar to the surfboard order of the day sign…it’s all lovely and will definitely have you longing for balmy summer evenings spent with friends.

Emma & Stuart

We’re starting the week off with a fabulous outdoor woodland wedding at Whetstead Farm in Tonbridge Kent complete with hanging sofa swing, reggae tree house and tipi reception.

It was the perfect venue to host Emma & Stuart’s festival themed wedding and music soon became the inspiration for their planning. The seating plan was made out of records and each table was named after an album. I also LOVE the genius idea of having personal cassette tapes as place names too. I wonder what mine would have been…..

If it wasn’t enough that Emma had a B.E.A.utiful Pronovias lace & feather gown, she also had a second dress from ASOS so she could dance the night away to their funky Rollin Stoned band. I absolutely adore the laid back vibe of this fun & quirky wedding and the dressing up box looks like it brought so much fun & entertainment to the day.
