The flowers are in full bloom at this Summer wedding and the bride’s talents on full display. With acrylic wedding signs, vellum confetti cones and divine stationery suites decorating Middleton Lodge’s Estate beautifully. There are also homemade cakes with intricate designs and pretty floral displays arranged by a friend. The personal touches and DIY elements are endless, with the emotion and beauty equally infinite. What a treat.
You may be starting to sniff summer in the air, but you are going to fall head over heels for this gorgeous winter wedding. Classic winter colours are picked up in key features – from the emerald green bridesmaid dress to the bridal bouquet of eucalyptus, white roses, white and blue thistles and ferns – and create a dream-like atmosphere, illuminated by candles and crisp winter light. This truly is one to savour, so grab a coffee (or a glass of wine; it is nearly the weekend after all) and pore over this perfect day.
I’m just going to throw it straight out there. If I was getting married again (same fella, don’t fret pet), Middleton Lodge would be the one. A true gem in the Yorkshire countryside, which just keeps getting better and better – I mean there are plans for a spa… hello! Middleton Lodge has evolved into the ultimate venue with enough options to accommodate your wedding day visualisations effortlessly, and enough style to give you all the heart eyes. For the foodie’s amongst us, the Kitchen Garden is the thing of dreams, and if your guests love a party then the Old Forge Barn is where it’s at. Excited? You should be.
As I look outside my window it’s currently grey and drizzly, but my mood (as will yours) has definitely been lifted whilst putting together this pastel pretty country wedding at Middleton Lodge in Yorkshire.
Sarah & Jack are an adorable couple with a small budget but have managed to pull off the most incredible celebration. Starting with the sweetest outdoor ceremony and culminating in a gorgeous marquee reception. The sea of floral arrangements are delicious, including eucalyptus and peach, blush & lilac roses by List members Wedding and Events Floral Design, which I have a feeling may get pinned within an inch of their lives, not to mention those bouquets.
There’s lots of love for Sarah’s Jenny Packham gown too, which she cleverly sourced from Preloved to save some pennies. And don’t her Bridesmaids look heavenly in blue Coast gowns? I love the delicate lace cap sleeves and V back. Plus that half up, half down do with fresh flowers is something else.
I won’t keep you any longer as I’m sure you’re dying to take a look at all the gorgeousness captured by Sarah-Jane Ethan Photography now…
Doesn’t Ellie look so elegant? Her Maggie Sottero gown with those pretty little capped sleeves, her gorgeous glitzy hair piece and those Emmy shoes are all giving me a serious case of the swoons. As is her wild unstructured bouquet in pastel tones, which is just bursting with dahlias and roses.
And wait until you see inside the marquee – if you like blush and gold, you’re going to love it! There’s lots of details to behold, so I’ll pass you over to Ellie to explain exactly how her and James created such a lovely look…
