You’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported back in time today, back to the realms of Jane Austin and back to the epitome of English elegance with this gorgeous yellow and gold inspiration. The location for all this pretty is the historic Pennard House country manor wedding venue in Somerset with its incredible landscape, timeless rooms and ability to make you feel like its a home from home. Add fabulous florals from Bramble & Wild, handmade invitations and a delicate Chantilly lace Naomi Neoh wedding dress and you’ll be swooning your way into the weekend.
Kat and Ed’s big day at Pennard House is so much more than just a stunning wedding. Yes, it is bright and beautiful, with colourful dahlias and clear September skies. Sure, bride Kat looks ravishing in her Alexander Wang racerback dress and red Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. And yes, the food by Caroline Gent Events and the unlimited crepes served from a beautifully restored 1970’s Citroen HVan sound mouth watering. But do you know what is most impressive? Kat and Ed planned all of this is only three months. That’s correct, they spent just 9 weeks planning their wedding. And, it’s perfect.
Don’t you just love outdoor Summer weddings?! Blue skies, picturesque country gardens at Pennard House and an abundance of outdoor fun with your favourites, it really was the ideal atmosphere to celebrate and the couple and guests look like they are truly living their best life. I’d also very much like to tuck into the delicious looking dessert Krispy Kreme doughnut wall. Who’s with me?
Gorgeous Lowri and Dan married at RMW favourite venue, the beautiful Pennard House in Somerset. Lowri wears a satin low-backed Mikaella Bridal gown, with a lovely long train and it just suits her perfectly. I love a simple yet striking bridal gown.
Images come from Captured by Katrina and they are so natural and beautifully shot. Make sure you watch the film from Paul Van too, it’ll make you cry tears of pure joy…such an amazing thing for the pair to treasure.
Pennard House weddings are always some of our favourites to share, they all have a lovely relaxed vibe, with stylish couples who want a day that looks gorgeous, but is also full of fun. Susie and Joe’s wedding took place over the course of a weekend, with Friday night drinks and a post-wedding BBQ too. This is always a great way of making the most of the occasion and means you get to spend more time with the people you perhaps don’t see as often as you’d like.
Pennard House weddings always have the most wonderful vibe, relaxed, joyful and just full of love. There must be something magic in that Somerset air. Nikki and Gareth’s wedding day definitely has all the usual Pennard House vibes, with an outdoor wedding ceremony, bright colour palette and a rainbow wedding cake – it’s one that will put a big smile on your face.
Nikki and Gareth have been together for 6 years and have two beautiful children, and the ease and natural understanding of one another really shines through in these beautiful images from Jonny Barratt. Enjoy this one lovelies, it’s a feel good wedding through and through.
A last Wintery hoorah this afternoon, from the styling genius that is Jess at Blue Wren Barn. I always love featuring her shoots, especially when they are shot by John Barwood. Throw in the serious talents of Ruby & The Wolf and you’ve got yourself one helluva gorgeous set up. This is a masterclass in how to style a Winter wedding.
It’s great to see the recently converted stables at Pennard House too – we’re suckers for big barn doors and the agricultural space is the perfect setting for this shoot.
I’d go as far to say that this is a dream team of suppliers, many of whom you’ll find in our hand picked supplier directory, The List, so even if you’re not planning a Winter wedding, do check them out. And if you are planning a Winter wedding, then be prepared for an overwhelming urge to recreate ALL OF THIS on your wedding day…
Romy and Rob’s beautiful wedding comes from the spectacular Pennard House, a venue we’ve been excited about for a long time. The beautiful English country manor has been restored magnificently, it’s located in the heart of Somerset – just 10 minutes walk from Glastonbury, it can be hired exclusively and there are even tipis on site where guests can sleep. Pennard House is one of those venues that allows you to have whatever type of wedding your heart desires and we’re really proud to have them on our recommended supplier directory, The List and also to be sharing this wedding, as it’s the first time Pennard has graced our pages in a real wedding feature and I can guarantee it certainly won’t be the last.
As well as the gorgeous images from Dave Watts, we’ve also got the stunning film from Jon at Happy Wedding Films for you to enjoy. He really is one to watch – if you’re a regular reader you’ll have seen his work here and here – two weddings which are simply breathtaking and if you missed them first time around, you should definitely check them out.
But first, we’re off to Somerset, where a magical wedding awaits…
