Once again Rock My Wedding real brides are blowing our minds with their incredible style. Finishing (or starting) their wedding day outfits with some seriously fit bridal crowns. Each one is unique to the bride and her personal taste. And each one makes me green with envy as I wished I was cool enough to rock an ornate headpiece like theirs. There are feathers, florals, and monumental structures, and if you pardon the pun, each headdress is the crowning glory to their overall look. Ready to be inspired?
Stilettos, wedges, block heels. Metallic, velvety, bejewelled. Frilly, fluffy, feathered. The possibilities when it comes to what to wear on your feet for that all-important walk down the aisle (and almost-as-important sashay onto the dancefloor!) are endless. I’ve rounded up some of the loveliest footwear we’ve ever featured on the blog, and some of the most stunning wedding shoes available on the high street now. Prepare to be inspired.
There’s nothing we love more than a beautiful accessory here at RMW and so when the bridal cape made a comeback at last years bridal runway shows – we were all deeeelighted. Your wedding day is absolutely the day to be completely extra, and there’s nothing more extra than a bridal cape. Whether you go waist length, floor length or steal the show in a ground sweeping number, we’ve rounded up our favourite bridal capes on real brides, as well as a little heads up on where to shop the best ones for 2020.
Not just for superheroes, the bridal cape is back…
If you’re looking for a book to assist you with wedding planning, or perhaps a gift for a newly engaged friend, then our wedding planning book, Your Day Your Way, is the perfect thing. As with anything from the RMW team, it’s brimming with gorgeous imagery and styling BUT it’s also full of really helpful checklists and wedding planning questions to help guide you through the wedding planning process seamlessly.
Your Day Your Way is written by our founder, Charlotte O’Shea, who not only knows a thing or two about weddings, but tells it like it is too. RMW was built on Charlotte blogging about her own wedding planning journey, and the book is very much in her own inimitable voice. For those of you yet to discover the book, here’s a peak inside…
Word on the street is that the Beast From The East may be making a return. So I’ve rounded up the best bridal cover-ups to keep you brides toasty if your big day falls within the winter months. Loads of the cover-ups are in the sale, and each and every one of them can be worn time and time again, even after the big day.
Capes are fast becoming my favourite bridal accessory. Bride Hollie’s Pronovias ‘Oringo’ lace bridal gown and matching cape in particular literally floored me it’s that stunning. The fabulous Darina Stoda Photography did an amazing job of capturing its true beauty. The way the light catches it in some of the images is breathtaking.
There are many other elements to this Devonshire wedding you’ll be smitten with too. Take the DIY cork table numbers and name place setting holders the happy couple crafted, not to mention the gorgeous greenery and white florals adorning the wedding breakfast, and ceremony altar and aisle.
You’ll probably want to get your pinning fingers ready for this one. I now I will be. Enjoy.
Jaws are going too hit the floor, and pinning fingers are going to go crazy as soon as you see bride Anna’s Claire Pettibone Whitney bridal gown complete with cape!
Next you’ll be swooning over all the DIY decor and fabulous florals that make up this country wedding. As well as all the beautiful couple and wedding party portraits captured by the oh so talented Camilla Arnhold Photography.
There’s certainly nothing blue about this Monday morning.

Known for statement pieces and decadent designs, designer Sally Thomas has become a firm favourite of brides and influencers alike and her pieces have been worn by celebrities such as Holly Willoughby and Millie Mackintosh, for whom she designed a bespoke headpiece for her recent marriage to Hugo Taylor.
The Cleopatra collection is going to blow you away, I have a feeling you’re going to be totally rethinking your accessories budget…
I think it’s safe to say, the entire RMW team has a huge girl crush on today’s creative and entrepreneurial bride Chiara Perano, the stylish spark behind Lamplighter London, the original modern calligraphy studio. Chiara was handwriting envelopes and illustrating invites while the rest of the country was still selecting their lilac-butterfly-embossed stationery from that awful book in WHSmith. Chiara really has paved the way for many other design studios, and it’s a real honour to be sharing her wedding with you all today.
If you don’t recognise Lamplighter London, then it’s highly likely you’ll know Chiara’s book, Nib and Ink, the ultimate guide to modern calligraphy. And if you’re new to the wedding world and today is your first introduction to this fabulous lady, then prepare to be amazed by the gorgeous stationery and signage for her and Michael’s dreamy Bordeaux wedding.
Every last detail has been expertly captured by RMW favourites, Fern Edwards Photography and This Modern Revelry. The flowers by the incredible Kitten Grayson will have you swooning, and look out for the gorgeous custom Rewritten bridesmaids dresses too. This is a wedding with endless inspiration…I’ve literally died and gone to bridal heaven. Enjoy lovelies, I have a feeling you’ll like it too!
