Sometimes, we all need to step back and remind ourselves what is truly important in life. If your wedding planning journey is starting to feel overwhelming or stressful – and we’ve all been there – then please take some time today to read this beautiful and brave account of one of the most incredible weddings we’ve featured on these pages. Our words cannot do justice to what it means to marry your beloved in this manner, so we will leave you in the hands of amazing Elle, a bride who epitomises what your wedding really is all about: everlasting love. (Trigger warning: please have tissues to hand.)
There are some weddings that simply make your heart soar, and this London summer wedding – filled with beautiful family moments and a fantastic floral arch – is one such celebration. I won’t give anything away, as bride and groom Chloe & Ben tell the story best in their own words, but suffice to say you might want your hankies out for this one. Let’s just say, you’re never too old to find love!
Start your day in the most joyful way with this seriously sweet wedding; I honestly think it may make my heart burst. Bride and groom, Jacqueline and Sheldon, got engaged seven years ago in Santorini, on a night when there was both an earthquake and a lunar eclipse! Jump forward almost a decade – and a house and two children later – and here we are on their wedding day: a day that could not be more delightful. For a start, we have a high street wedding dress. All the heart eyes. For seconds, we have a pub venue. So fun! And for thirds, we have the cutest flower girl and page boy, who fill this day with utter wonder. There are so many magic moments captured in this album, but do keep an eye out for my favourite photo, that of the couple’s five-year old daughter jumping to catch confetti on the steps of Old Marylebone Town Hall. Picture perfect.
When you have a couple as fun and full of personality as Laura & Jake you need a venue to match. The pub wedding venue, The Bell in Ticehurst certainly fits the bill with its famous neon sign ‘I will always love you my friend’, Edison bulbs and tuba urinals.
Having such a character filled location meant very few decorations were needed, so the couple opted for green and white wild blooms and an alternative doughnut tower wedding cake.
One thing that also radiates the page is bride Laura’s smile, she literally kept saying to photographer Emma of Epic Love Story “I’m having so much fun!’ Luckily Emma captured that feeling of pure joy in her amazing pictures so we and, our gorgeous couple can relieve the happiness again and again.
If you’ve fallen for the eccentricity of The Bell in Ticehurst too, be sure to view these contemporary weddings there as well.
