Karina and Joel added their Australian and Latin vibes to a former Victorian pub in Dalston, with a stylish Grace Loves Lace wedding dress, BBQ wedding breakfast and oodles of fresh foliage decor. The intimate city wedding was everything they’d hoped it would be and more, bringing both their families together from all over the world to rejoice in their matrimony.
Sometimes, we all need to step back and remind ourselves what is truly important in life. If your wedding planning journey is starting to feel overwhelming or stressful – and we’ve all been there – then please take some time today to read this beautiful and brave account of one of the most incredible weddings we’ve featured on these pages. Our words cannot do justice to what it means to marry your beloved in this manner, so we will leave you in the hands of amazing Elle, a bride who epitomises what your wedding really is all about: everlasting love. (Trigger warning: please have tissues to hand.)
There are some weddings that simply make your heart soar, and this London summer wedding – filled with beautiful family moments and a fantastic floral arch – is one such celebration. I won’t give anything away, as bride and groom Chloe & Ben tell the story best in their own words, but suffice to say you might want your hankies out for this one. Let’s just say, you’re never too old to find love!
When you have a couple as fun and full of personality as Laura & Jake you need a venue to match. The pub wedding venue, The Bell in Ticehurst certainly fits the bill with its famous neon sign ‘I will always love you my friend’, Edison bulbs and tuba urinals.
Having such a character filled location meant very few decorations were needed, so the couple opted for green and white wild blooms and an alternative doughnut tower wedding cake.
One thing that also radiates the page is bride Laura’s smile, she literally kept saying to photographer Emma of Epic Love Story “I’m having so much fun!’ Luckily Emma captured that feeling of pure joy in her amazing pictures so we and, our gorgeous couple can relieve the happiness again and again.
If you’ve fallen for the eccentricity of The Bell in Ticehurst too, be sure to view these contemporary weddings there as well.
This beautiful Christmas wedding is giving me all the excited tingles for the big day. Not only is it SO stylishly festive and full of joy, but it’s also a great reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be a lavish affair. A simple candle lit ceremony followed by a family meal at the pub is just as special, perhaps even more so. The love just radiates from these images by Rebecca Searle.
If you’re planning a winter wedding then make sure you visit our archives for even more inspiration. We’ve even got a couple of other wintery pub weddings (this and this) as gorgeous as Rachael and Chris’ big day. Enjoy loves, this is a very special wedding indeed…
Spring is here, and with it, it brings the smiliest, most loveliest couple Helen & Rob, and their classic pub wedding in the city. Absolutely busting with bright blooms from floral genius Joanne Truby Flowers, including season favourites peonies and ranunculus.
Capturing all the sunny sweetness is the lovely Ann-Kathrin Koch who certainly put this couple at ease and brought out the best in them, as well as capturing all the pretty for you to swoon over and pin.
For me Abby and Olly’s whole wedding is perfect. I couldn’t love their approach to their big day anymore – the couple funded their wedding themselves and found lots of clever ways to make sure that staying in line with their budget, while still putting on a stylish and fun wedding day. And Abby still got to wear two dresses and two pairs of shoes…I think she should start a new career as a bargain hunter for brides 😉
Saving money elsewhere meant that Abby & Olly could have the wonderful Jon at S6 Photography and Laura & Alan This Modern Revelry film their big day. And OMG I’m SO glad they did. The whole party has been captured beautifully and the film just brings the whole day to life. Be prepared to have a little cry and a little boogie all in the space of a few minutes…
Who said small isn’t beautiful, not me, or Bride & Groom Natasha & Joel for that matter. Choosing to have an intimate ceremony at Dublin City Hall and a pub reception at the Anglers Rest, which is not only stunning in itself but is also close to the picturesque War Memorial Gardens and Phoenix Park, making the most beautiful backdrops for portraits by Antonija Nekic Photography.
Both venues are off the chart adorable as is the love this beautiful couple share. Plus they don some pretty fierce outfits. The cap sleeves on bride Natasha’s Saja wedding dress for a start are just heavenly, and don’t even get me started on her bridal up do and laurel headpiece. Just. Beaut.
This is the perfect wedding for a Friday afternoon. It’s at a pub for starters! And not just any pub, the beautiful Fleece Inn, Evesham is simply divine. With gorgeous gardens, an early 15th century barn, bequeathed to the National Trust in 1977, a stunning oak beam as a centre piece with hops and a large iron chandelier adorned with lanterns – it really is the perfect setting for a relaxed, rustic wedding.
So relaxed in fact, that Groom Matt wore his trainers – which we are ALL FOR. There’s absolutely no reason why your Groom should feel they have to wear dress shoes on the big day, if trainers are his style, then let him go for it. We think Matt still looks pretty dapper and actually his look really complements Nat’s shorter gown and those gorgeous green shoes.
It’s just a beautifully styled, happy celebration of love, which is exactly how a wedding should be!
