If you’ve set a date for a January wedding then you need to take a glimpse at today’s winter nuptials. All too often winter wedding inspiration comes in the shape of fir trees and snowflakes with a liberal dose of Christmas sprinkled in. But what happens if your big day falls at the start of the year? Alice and George married in January and their wedding was nothing short of a candle lit dream! With nightfall coming early in winter, the gorgeous bride well and truly made use of the long winter night by opting for a change of dress in the evening. Light those candles and snuggle up. You’re in for a romantic treat.
First of all, the photos of Laura and James in the back of a vintage chevy truck are straight out of Hollywood. There are some serious Notebook vibes going on at today’s glorious wedding. But that’s not the only thing you’re going to love about this beautiful DIY extravaganza. The bride and groom travelled far and wide to source the food truck for their wedding trying delicacies all over the UK, even at Glastonbury festival! The pièce de résistance is the handcrafted DIY self-service bar which is a genius way to treat your guests to a free drink.
Marilyne’s off the shoulder wedding dress is the die for. The bride is head seamstress at Halfpenny London, so you know the frock at this stunning Provence wedding was always going to be a jaw-dropper.
Keeping it all in the family, Marilyne’s parents created all the florals, her sister-in-law crafted the stationery and her mum even made her famous spiced rhum as favours for the gorgeous guests. My favourite moment, however, has to be the bride being walked down the aisle by both her father and stepfather. Nothing brings together a family like a wedding. Let’s go off and soak up all that sunshine.
We’re more than a little bit pleased to see not one, but two of our fabulous recommended suppliers at Roxy & Tom’s beautiful Persian wedding in Devon. First up is Roxy’s gorgeous lace gown with high neck and adorable 3/4 sleeves by Catherine Deane, then there’s Virginia’s Vintage Hire wonderful wooden trestle tables and chairs gracing the rustic reception. Addng a splash of colour to the setting comes courtesy of mum with her homegrown flowers, plus lots of DIY decor from friends too.
Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin.
This dreamy country wedding at Crabbs Barn in Essex deserves a fairytale introduction because it is every bit the fairytale wedding. From the exquisite pink & coral blooms by Fallen Flower Design to Bride Charlotte’s stunning ‘Inaru’ Enzoani bridal gown, your jaw is going to be hitting the floor with amazement.
All captured beautifully by Kathryn Hopkins Photography in her romantic fine art style, and all here to inspire your own day and happily ever after.
Serious wedding goals.
She married her beau Chris at a beautifully styled Spring wedding at Prested Hall in Feering, Essex, celebrating with her loved ones in a beautiful lantern filled marquee reception. The colour palette was soft, elegant pastel shades and echoed in the heavenly fashion and flowers.
Laura looks absolutely mesmerising in a lace Sottero & Midgley gown complete with flowers in her hair, and you know how we feel about sequins and tulle, so the bridesmaids Maya gowns are absolute stunners in our eyes.
The lovely Kathryn Hopkins gorgeous fine art photography style will transport you in a dreamy place, so sit back relax and enjoy every bit of this pretty wedding.
