Spell And The Gypsy Bridal Dress for Intimate Wedding with Pizza Making

BUDGET £5 – 10K

Childhood sweethearts Sophie and Paul got married in November with the bride wearing a beautiful boho style Spell And The Gypsy bridal dress. They originally planned for a big festival style wedding in the summer of 2020, however, after 10 years of being together, they decided that they couldn’t wait any longer and so instead had a very intimate wedding of just 40 guests in the same church that the bride’s grandparents tied the knot. They planned the new wedding in a couple of months and did everything as a team, from the invites to the cake and the flowers making everything all the more special. Cento Uno played host to the reception which was filled with pizza making, Aperol spritz cocktails and spontaneous dance-offs. This effortlessly cool couple created their perfect day topped with emotional speeches and lots of laughter and all captured by D&J Photography!

Meringue Kisses and Colourful Wedding Flowers for a London Wedding at The Globe by Miss Genn Photography Pin Image

Meringue Kisses and Colourful Wedding Flowers and Stationery for a London Wedding at The Globe

We’re finishing the week off on a colourful note with this bright and beautiful London wedding. The venue, The Swan at The Globe, is intimate and intoxicating, with stunning views of the River Thames and St Paul’s Cathedral. The fact it is also the setting for some of the most romantic plays ever written makes it even more special still. Our lovely bride, Melissa, shows off her eye for detail to great effect, taking inspiration from Fortnum & Mason’s chocolate boxes to create the gorgeous duck egg blue and pink scheme, which flows through every aspect of the day, from the stationery and the flowers to the cake, meringue kisses and colourful table décor. It is a day which draws to mind – and brings to life – my favourite Shakespeare quote: “I would not wish any companion in the world but you” (The Tempest – Act 3, Scene 1). We have no doubt that the bard himself would approve.

My heart always soars when I spy a London wedding, especially when I hear their budget was only £5000! Gorgeous Australian bride and groom, Lara and Josh, certainly made the most of North London’s offerings with an intimate ceremony at Islington Town Hall, followed by a foliage-filled, champagne-fuelled reception at the uber cool Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings. Photographed by Olivia & Dan – members of our handpicked wedding supplier directory The List – their big day is a picture-perfect story of love, laughter and happily ever after, not to mention a beautiful beaded Needle & Thread dress that looks like it was made just for Lara.

Kylie & Koray

Having your day your way, means choosing which bits to spend money on, and which bits to save money on. For Kylie, bagging a bargain dress was really important, as her and Koray wanted to spend more on the flowers, entertainment, food and the photography. You’d never tell that Kylie’s dress wasn’t super expensive, she looks gorgeous and the it’s clear that the whole day really reflects these two as a couple. It’s relaxed, stylish and fun.

Images come from the lovely Olivia & Dan, who have captured every moment to perfection.

Louise & Chris

Well this is a brilliant way of celebrating the bride and grooms cultures if ever I saw one. Spreading their wedding across three amazing London venues with the help of wedding planner Revelry Events.

First up they had an intimate ceremony at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, followed by a Chinese wedding breakfast at Hutong at The Shard, and last but by no means least an evening reception at warehouse venue, Brixton East with Trinidadian steel pan players to kick off the party.

Both of them look sensational in stylish wedding attire. The cold shoulder sleeves on Bride Louise’s Reformation ‘Poppy’ gown are just heavenly, and really set off her bridal up do by RMW favourite Victoria Ralph Hair.

All of the captures by Story + Colour Photography are full of emotion, and will make your heart swell they are so adorable. Enjoy.
