Sarah & Ric

Sarah and Ric have discovered an absolute gem of a destination wedding venue, that I almost don’t want to share with you all, as it feels like something we should keep quiet. Locanda Rosa Rosae is simply gorgeous, a treasure trove of collected items filling stunning spaces. Just don’t tell anyone ok, as otherwise we’ll all want to get married there 😉

Sarah and Ric held their ceremony and reception outdoors in the golden Italian sunlight, covering their tables with potted herbs, fresh fruit and candelabras – the result is nothing short of heavenly. And you’ll absolutely never guess where Sarah found her wedding dress, nor the secret behind her gorgeous blooms…

One final mention, Sarah runs a hand poured candle studio and created the personalised candle wedding favours you’ll see below. If you’re on the hunt for a wedding favour with a difference, then do get in touch.

Samantha & Patrick

Samantha and Patrick found the most incredible venue for their big day, I’m really excited to share it with you all. The Gathering in Edale is a stunning rural farm in the Peak District with safari tents and lodges for accommodation, plus intimate barn areas and rolling countryside for your ceremony and reception.

This gorgeous pair filled the space with wild flowers and foliage, balloons and personalised details making everything feel really welcoming and lovely. Samantha wears Self Portrait whose not-strictly-bridal dresses are just perfect for a laid back bride who still wants to look stylish. Images come from the very lovely Claudia Rose Carter, who has captured the details beautifully as always, as well as some gorgeous couple portraits too.

Hannah & Charlie

We all loved embracing the Danish concept of ‘hygge’ last winter, so I guess it’s no surprise that this trend (although that feels like the wrong word for essentially being cosy) made it’s way into the wedding world…although this is actually the first ‘hygge wedding’ I’ve ever blogged, so hats off the Hannah and Charlie for being original. Their big day certainly did look cosy and inviting, filled with candle light, soft textures and good food. Taking inspiration for your wedding day from outside of the wedding industry is something we love doing – art, interiors, nature, there is SO much beauty out there to spark ideas.

The gorgeous images come from Katy & Co. whose soft, romantic style perfectly suits this idyllic English winter scene. Right, are you ready to get cosy?

Amanda & Jonathan

Oh I love this couple and their contemporary wedding. They are just the epitome of cool.

Bride Amanda’s dress from Self Portrait is divine, with layer upon layer of broderie anglaise, delicate lace and a gorgeous spaghetti strap cross over back. Her best girls look equally stunning by her side in blush dresses from the high street, and if somebody could serve me a hostess trolley full of fabulous footwear like On Love and Photography captured I’d be very happy indeed.

The Pergola Gardens where Amanda & Jonathan or Jamanda as their family have now named them said I do are simply magical. Marring on the lawn and then walking back through the beautiful gardens in procession with all their guests to the vintage red bus, before heading to swanky Shoreditch for their reception and even more gorgeous backdrops for photographs.
