Peonies. Pastels. Pineapples. Oh my. This Gate Street Barn wedding is prettiness personified. As is our blushing bride, Natalie, whose halterneck Maggie Sottero dress – with beautiful beaded detailing, a swishy full skirt and spaghetti straps over the shoulders – completes this stunning spring wedding day. Captured by RMW recommended photographer, Story + Colour, this is a tale replete with love, laughter – and lawn games. There’s nothing like a bride doing the limbo!
When it comes to having your photograph taken, if you fall into the ‘oh god this is really awkward‘ camp then you need a photographer who isn’t going to make you feel self conscious or ask you to do loads of unnecessary posing on your wedding day. You want to find a photography ninja who collects images without you even noticing. Here’s where the amazing Story + Colour step in. Husband and wife team Laura and Dan have been regulars on RMW for years. Dan shoots the weddings, Laura basically does everything else, but they pride themselves on making sure they deliver incredible images for even the most camera shy of people.
As a special treat for RMW readers, Story + Colour are offering you a FREE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT when booking full day wedding coverage for remaining 2019 and 2020 wedding dates. This is not only a great way to capture some images of you together, but it also gives you the opportunity to get to know Dan before your wedding and to relax in front of the camera. To redeem this offer, you’ll need to mention RMW when you book. I caught up with Laura and Dan to find out more about them and their style, and to help you decide if they are the ones for you…
When you have a tipi wedding, you kind of have no choice but to go big. There’s a lot to organise, from the land, to the toilets, from the generator to the furniture, but when you get it right…it’s SO worth it, as Tanya and Alex’s gorgeous wedding shows. This is a perfect example of how to do a tipi wedding, lush cosy styling, lots of fairy lights and embracing those bohemian vibes (hello gorgeous Tanya, a Rue De Seine bride through and through).
Dan from Story + Colour captures the atmosphere created in the tipi’s with amazing results. Everything looks magical…
What better way to enjoy the woodland at the Château de Sereville, in La Belliole, France than with a heartfelt outdoor ceremony by day and a magical marquee reception surrounded by twinkling lights by night. Louise and Seb definitely made full use of the gorgeous location, and why the hell not.
I’ve also been swooning over Louise’s Marie Laporte gown. The low back detail in particular was to die for and both elegant and sultry.
RMW faves Story + Colour always goes above an beyond to get those epic captures (including rustling in bushes) and the results are just fabulous.
Well this is a brilliant way of celebrating the bride and grooms cultures if ever I saw one. Spreading their wedding across three amazing London venues with the help of wedding planner Revelry Events.
First up they had an intimate ceremony at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, followed by a Chinese wedding breakfast at Hutong at The Shard, and last but by no means least an evening reception at warehouse venue, Brixton East with Trinidadian steel pan players to kick off the party.
Both of them look sensational in stylish wedding attire. The cold shoulder sleeves on Bride Louise’s Reformation ‘Poppy’ gown are just heavenly, and really set off her bridal up do by RMW favourite Victoria Ralph Hair.
All of the captures by Story + Colour Photography are full of emotion, and will make your heart swell they are so adorable. Enjoy.
There are SO many stand out details at this Norfolk countryside wedding, so hold on to your hats while I give you a little run down.
Firstly Bride Lucy’s heirloom tiara, literally the crowning glory to her understated, but incredibly pretty polka dot tulle gown by Eponine London. Then there’s the lemon arch & tree’s decorating the church. Seriously WOW.
Now onto the entertainment, which included a fly by, a light show and a fireworks display, as well as various bands, an epic underground disco, chilli cocktails and BBQ’d lamb. See I told you it was good.
Capturing all the amazing-ness was RMW faves Story + Colour who makes you feel like you are right there celebrating with this gorgeous couple.
“Adrian and I wanted a relaxed wedding, we didn’t want too many formalities but more of a party!” And with a venue like Trinity Buoy Wharf in London, Pizzas from Baz and Fed, and a music set from DJ Luck & MC Neat you can just imagine what a unfussy and fun party it was too.
Bride Claudia wore the most beautiful Nuria gown from Luella’s Bridal Boutique with beaded cap sleeves, I can just picture how fabulously the embellishment shimmied whilst she dance the night away, and under a ceiling full of festoon lights too. Just magical.
You have to check out the adorable bride & groom sweetheart table too laden with beautiful blooms, a crown and marquee LOVE lights. What an intimate spot to sit with your new partner. All of this and more has been captured by Story and Colour. Enjoy.
