Bridal Veil & Fresh Flower Up Do | Alex Tenters Photography | Rustic Wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns, Brimingham | Martina Liana Gown from Coco & Kate | Grey ASOS Multiway Dresses | Reiss & NEXT Suits |
There is always a special place in our hearts for Shustoke Farm Barns in Birmingham, the architecture is absolutely spectacular and the team always come with such glowing reports. It’s why they are long standing members of our recommended supplier directory The Love Lust List.
Bride Daisy looks heavenly in a fitted Martina Liana gown from Coco & Kate bridal boutique (also a member of our directory), and have you seen the image of her veil and floral up do yet? I am definitely pinning that one. SO pretty. I also defy anybody not to get a lump in their throat when see the image of Daisy getting emotional at the altar with groom Karl holding her hand. All the feels.
As well as tones of emotion, Alex Tenters Photography has captured angles of Shustoke Farm Barns I never even knew existed, and the warm September light is. Just. Amazing. Not to mention the complimentary rustic green and white florals and decor. You simply have to stop what you’re doing and see this rustic wedding in all its glory, you won’t regret it.
Tailored Entertainment have been members of our handpicked wedding supplier directory, The Love Lust List for some time now, and we always get such amazing feedback about both the bands couples book, and Tailored Entertainment themselves. Showcasing some of the very best talent in the industry Tailored Entertainment make finding the right act for your wedding a walk in the park thanks to their amazing personalised service. They can arrange for acts to be a part of your big day all over the world, and have artists in every genre imaginable, so it makes sense that we help you get to know them a little more.
Oh my you’re in for a treat this morning, our couple are so effortlessly stylish and chic, as is their outdoor ceremony and bright flower filled reception with copper accents.
I simply adore Bride Victoria’s Parisian Rime Arodaky gown with lace inserts and she looks absolutely stunning. She stays true to herself and completes her look with a messy top knot, rose gold Topshop sandals and the perfect red lip. Groom Richard looks equally dapper in a three piece Navy suit and bow tie.
There are some truly fabulous portraits of Victoria & Richard casually sat on deck chairs at the famous Larmer Tree Gardens bandstand with their shades on that pretty much sums up how ridiculously cool this couple and their whole affair are.
With Conga dances lead by the Bride, a homemade profiterole tower wedding cake made by the Mother of the Groom, and a breathtaking pink peony bouquet, you’re going to need your Pinterest fingers at the ready…
Today’s wedding looks like such a fun filled affair.
For a start there are deckchairs for lounging. Then there is croquet. There is also badminton. AND there are space hoppers. There are even people playing badminton ON space hoppers.
Golza and Chaz also had a magician and loads of live music throughout the day. I can’t really think of a better way to spend a summers afternoon.
And with a mojito in one hand and some of Golza and Chaz’s cake in the other, it really would be perfect.
Our Perfect Venue
Golza The Bride: We chose the Larmer Tree Garden as our venue. We fell in love with this venue from the moment with set foot on the grounds. Everything about this venue was perfect, we wanted a small intimate ceremony and the Roman Temple was the ideal place.
DIY Make Up
I did my own makeup as I am a little bit of a protectionist and love make up. And my best friend Maria Sole did my hair. The Bridesmaid’s hair and makeup was done by a company called Bridal Treats. They were a hair and makeup duo and did a great job.
Had To Have It
My dress was from a boutique in the New Forest called Karalyn Bridal. The dress was by Eternity Bridal. I was in love with it from the moment I saw it on the website.
I wore laced Toms shoes in cream (best decision I ever made to wear flats)! My bracelet was from a sale at New Look but looked great. I also wore a Tiffany necklace and my head piece was by a great company I came across called DC Bouquets. The piece was handmade and beautiful.
I wore pearl earrings and my grandmother’s gorgeous ring, which was given to me as a wedding present the night before (it was a surprise, I had no idea as she lives in Iran and couldn’t make it but she sent me the ring). For fragrance, I wore Marc Jacobs Daisy.
Comfortable And Happy Bridesmaids
We had six bridesmaids all dressed in different style dresses but keeping the tone of the colours the same and it worked out beautifully. The six dresses were never in the same room until the wedding eve, so we did well in choosing. I wanted them all to be comfortable and happy with what they wore.
The boys wore a three piece suit in charcoal and Chaz wore a suit by Howick at House of Fraser with a purple paisley patterned tie.
We didn’t have a particular colour scheme but just stuck to pastel colours for everything.
Shirley Ponting, a Wedding Florist in the Cotswolds and a friend of the family, did our flowers. We decided to have peonies/roses in the bouquets and a mixture of different flowers for table decorations. Shirley was fantastic and helped and advised us through the process.
Written For Us
We had two readings, one by Chaz’s uncle who had written a special reading for us and another one which was Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres.
The highlight of the ceremony for me was the moment walking up to the temple with my dad and seeing Chaz’s face. There are no words for it.
We had a man and his guitar during the day for background music and a three piece band in the evening called the Live Lounge Band. Both artists were organised through a company called Tailored Entertainment. They also found us a DJ.
We also had a talented family friend who is also a member of the magic circle to do magic. He kept the guest entertained in the evening, which card tricks and more. Richard Parsons is so amazing and I would highly recommend him. He has a subtle and relaxed approach and is very professional.
A Persian Feast
Larmer Tree Gardens provided their own catering and as I am Persian we wanted to have something different so we went with a Persian feast. We had beers and mojitos to welcome the guests in the evening.
You’ll Find Me In Hobby Craft
I made a lot of the decorations myself. The flower jars on the tables, the origami hearts and poloroid picture of each of the guests as wedding favours, doily cones for the confetti to be handed out to the guests and loads of other finishing touches! I practically lived in Hobbycraft for months.
We also had our talented friend, Daniel Argyle, design our wedding invites. We had the film ‘Up’ as a theme idea and he took that and created our gorgeous invites.
One Day Like This
Enjoy every second and make sure both of you take a step back from it all and spend a few minutes alone to look at all the people who are there for you.
Every moment was special, but for me it was the first dance when half way through the song pretty much everyone else was dancing around us. I guess it was a moving song by Elbow, One Day Like This.
A Great Partnership
We had the amazing Lisa Dawn as our photographer. Lisa and Scott were a great partnership and fitted our relaxed theme perfectly and captured loads of beautiful moments.
