Charley & Liam

This wedding has well and truly warmed my soul. I always love a big-day held at the Bride or Grooms family home and the location of Charley’s parents house is simply idyllic. The fact that the sun shone down on them all so they could hold their speeches outside was just the icing on the pastoral cake. The whole wedding was a family affair, with the gardens, flowers and bunting all being lovingly prepared by Charley and Liam’s nearest and dearest.

Jess Soper has captured everything beautifully too – those couple portraits at sunset are perfection. Forehead kisses forever!

(Oh and before I pass you over to our lovely couple, I think lots of you will be able to relate to the phrase ‘Bucking Funting’ it certainly made me giggle…)

Julie & Jon

Get those pinning fingers at the ready because Julie and Jon’s big day is full of the most wonderful details and an especially good source of inspiration for those of you planning your own Tipi weddings.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen flower crowned maids, a photo booth caravan, floral bedecked canoes, paisley patterns and reindeer pelts combined so effortlessly and effectively until this wedding day but that’s exactly what the pair created at their venue Duncton Mill Fishery. The setting is sublime and I can completely see why Julie and Jon chose the location to celebrate with their nearest and dearest.

I also want to take a moment to mention Julie’s wedding dress which was lovingly made by her mum; how fantastic is that! Oh and to say that Boxgrove Priory where the pair said their vows is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Come and see for yourselves…

Jenny & Ollie

I love this wedding and not just because groom Ollie gave bride Jenny possibly one of THE BEST EVER wedding presents I’ve heard about. I’m not going to spoil the surprise here – you’ll have to go and read what Jenny says in the text below.

Jenny’s decision to choose unashamedly romantic shades for her big day colour scheme – from delicate pinks to oysters tones has won me over too. From her blooms to her maids, every element of the wedding was wrapped up in these delicious hues. Oh and check out that bridal party photo in the slider – Ralph Lauren eat your heart out. And I can’t not mention how trusting Jenny was with her maids and her dresses; it was only on the wedding day that she saw her maids all together in their dresses for the first time!!

There are beards and bowties, blooming bouquets and blush pink maids. Basically everything to make you pin, pin, pin! Go and check it out!

The Great Outdoors.

heidiandpeterWeddings by the sea are my absolute favourite, so I’m in love with today’s gorgeous cliff top wedding from Dorset.

Heidi and Peter chose to hold their ceremony outdoors, a brave move with our temperamental weather…but it definitely paid off, as it meant that they could marry underneath an impressive green oak arch handcrafted by lovely Groom Peter, surrounded by pine trees and with a breath taking, uninterrupted view of the sea.

The whole wedding is full of natural and rustic details, from the seasonal handpicked blooms, to the cedar shingle bunting – unfussy, relaxed, but ever so pretty. Perfect for a venue which is surrounded by wonderful nature.

Heidi and Peter have written their wedding report together and it’s lovely to hear from a Groom who had so much input into the big day.
