One of the things we get asked time and time again here at RMW HQ is how to save money on your wedding day and luckily for you lovely lot, the whole RMLtd team has picked up lots of tricks and tips over the years. I’m going to be honest with you here – getting married is going to cost you some money. You can’t throw a party for your friends and family, wear a beautiful dress and shoes, have pretty flowers and expect it to be free. I know, life is tough hey 😉 BUT there are things that you can do to keep a lid on your budget and still have a beautiful wedding day…
There is something about Spring, Easter in particular when all the gorgeous pastel hues come into their own. Just recently team Rock My have all gone a bit gooey eyed for mint, incorporating it into our homes, wearing it and even bringing our littles in on the action. We’re blaming it entirely on the the delicious RMW book Your Day Your Way‘s linen cover. But with a hue that beautiful is it any wonder. So as an ode to the wedding book of dreams we’re bringing you a whole host of inspiration so you can fall in love with the shade as much as us.
When Pantone released their Colour of the Year for 2017, the whole team had a little chuckle as my detest for the colour green is well known. I just don’t really enjoy it when used in interiors or clothes…I can handle a green parka or a pair of wellies, but that’s about it. And it would seem that you lovely lot don’t seem to pick zingy greens for your Bridesmaids very often either – mint, sage, emerald, forest green hell yes, but greenery? No. Too zesty. Too lime. *Shudders*.
Then I read a little more about why they had chosen Greenery as the Colour of The Year and it all made sense. New beginnings, the chance to breathe deep, oxygenate and reinvigorate. The essence of vitality. It all sounds very inviting, especially after the crazy year that has been 2016. And I’m a big fan of using natural elements to bring prettiness to your wedding day. So today we’re embracing greenery, not in the outfits (don’t worry) but in the decor and details for your big day.
This afternoon we’re swooning over signage. Be it a welcome sign, a cute quote, a cocktail menu or a set of dancefloor rules, we think they are a great way to enhance your decor or theme, and also have the added bonus of being super helpful for your guests.
We’ve combined some of our favourites from real weddings with signs from our gorgeous Love Lust List members, whose signs are available for you to hire for your own big day. If you’re on the hunt for wedding suppliers handpicked by team RMW, then be sure to visit The Love Lust List.
Right, let’s get on with the signage action shall we..?
