This boho wedding – with macrame decor, a woodland ceremony and bright blooms – has me beaming from ear to ear. Not only because every inch of the day is utterly beautiful, but also because there are so many special touches: a proud dad-daughter moment walking down the aisle; the bride dancing to Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight with her 87 year old grandad; a ring box made from the wood of the bride’s grandfather’s apple tree; and 30 sleeping bags, sourced by the mother of the bride, being donated to homeless shelters once the wedding celebrations were over. Little wonder Emma from Freckle Photography describes the couple as two of the nicest people she’s ever met. This is one utterly gorgeous wedding which will warm your heart whilst also leaving you dreaming of your own woodland wonderland.
It may only be Spring, but we’re skipping ahead to Autumn this afternoon for all the delights of this bohemian wedding inspiration. There are meringue tower cakes, Persian rug altars and a tablescape of dreams. All of this is dressed in the most beautiful florals and foliage and take place in the wonderful woodland of Patrick’s barn. After you’ve reached for your pin button we apologise in advance to all kitchen cupboards who find them self raided as a result of mouths watering whilst savouring the delights of the dessert table. Enjoy!
You may want to get your pinning fingers ready because this outdoor woodland wedding at Upthorpe Wood is full of fabulous DIY decor and ideas. There are macramé and dreamcatcher hangings, plus glitter stations, ‘bake off’ cake tables and a whole lot more to boot!
Jenny and Tom are the smiliest of couples and their entire boho wedding is a delight to pore over from start to finish. Enjoy.
When you love hiking and classic Ford cars, it makes total sense to incorporate aspects of both into your wedding day! So Leanne and Steve chose to get married in the woods, inspired by Trondheim in Norway where Leanne has previously hiked, and obviously, their wedding car was a classic Ford. They also included their dog in their woodland wedding, as the ring bearer!
As a photographer herself, Leanne knew that she wanted Dale Weeks to take the photos of her wedding from the very beginning and luckily, he was available on their wedding day. The images are just perfect, as always, Dale has captured everything beautifully, in his natural and unobtrusive style.
Having a woodland wedding is always a little bit risky, but luckily for lovely Sarah and Jamie the sun shone down on them all day long, meaning they could enjoy their G&Ts in the warmth. Sarah looks like a mystical woodland fairy in her embellished Needle & Thread gown, which Jo from Enchanted Brides has captured beautifully. The dappled light under the trees is just gorgeous…
One of the biggest trends this year when it comes to wedding food, has been the grazing board. Not only do they look utterly gorgeous, but they are plentiful, delicious and just begging to be delved into, fork in one hand, plate in the other. There’s nothing like relaxed, shared dining to break the ice and get your guests chatting, laughing and having a wonderful time.
The reason I’m salivating over grazing boards, is because this gorgeous Autumnal shoot includes one of the most beautiful grazing boards I’ve ever seen, along with a dreamy looking cake, fabulous florals and balloons too! The styling is stunning, the team were going for a woodland meets industrial look and I think they’ve got it spot on…how about you?
The first thing you’ll be blown away by is the pampas grass moon gate and aisle flowers. Then allow yourself a moment to let this whole outdoor woodland wedding take over your soul. Because of course the decor and details are going to be epic as they were planned and styled to perfection by Mille Papillons. But paramount is the love and happiness radiating from the two grooms (and their pup) at this Spanish destination wedding. The moment captured by HUMà06 of Preston & Matthew walking up the aisle as Mr & Mr is priceless.
I don’t know about you, but I always fall hard for an epic loooog tablescape illuminated by festoons. We’re lucky enough to see them feature quite regularly on our pages, so if you’ve pinned this one, you’ll probably love Casey & Luke, and Francesca & Marco weddings too. You’re welcome.
Just as the leaves have dropped, the air is crisp and the light is dappled, the gorgeous Lisa & Mark had a wild and wonderful woodland wedding at Fernie Castle in Cupar, Scotland at the height of Autumn magic.
The ceremony was dressed beautifully with DIY ribbon chandeliers, hay bale seats draped in moroccan rugs, and an altar full of florals. Lisa looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle in a spaghetti strap, Chantilly lace Enzoani gown and Richard Designs veil from the bridal boutique she works at Kudos Bridal. And standing their proud as punch was her groom Mark in a traditional tartan kilt and tween jacket. They included a hand fastening at their ceremony as well as many other spiritual/pagan elements and it all just oozed sentiment.
Capturing all the wonderful moments was the fabulous Maureen Du Preez, who Lisa found on Rock My Wedding. Together they are a match made in heaven, and we’ve loved being able to share this Autumnal wedding.
If you decide you love Maureen’s photography style just as much as Lisa, then check out these gorgeous weddings she’s captured too.
Talk about a seriously fun festival wedding.
The relaxed vibes of the humanist, woodland ceremony and marquee reception is so apparent from all the wonderful captures by Miss Gen photography you actually feel like you are there celebrating with this amazing couple and their friends and family.
And what an entourage of favourite people they have. The wedding party snaps are seriously cool, mainly due to those epic red bridesmaid dresses and flowers crowns, not to mention the brides Reformation gown, and the grooms In Tweed suit.
Add hanging foliage garlands and bauble decor, plus a delicious semi naked wedding cake, and you have the makings of an immense summer wedding to swoon over. Enjoy.
