Inspiration

Not only are Laura and Will blessed with being able to host a home teepee wedding, but they were also blessed with glorious weather and the ability to have a BBQ reception. The street truck food looks amazing, as does the couples outdoor first dance and evening reception started by their fabulous brass band entertainers.

What Made Our Day Unique

We were lucky enough to have our own land for the teepee tents and glorious sunshine for an outdoor wedding! We had 140 guests and just wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun, hence having great entertainment, festoon lighting, hay bales, bbq and lots of drink! We were actually pretty geared up for a wedding! We had our own venue for a start, Will’s family own Blackwell’s Butchers so catering was all taken care of and Laura owns Elizabeth George Bridal, so dresses were supplied from there. Obviously working in the industry, Laura is very well connected and hears a lot about which suppliers have a good reputation.

Teepee Wedding

Hosting your own wedding is no mean task. But it does mean you have free reign over the logistics. Laura and Will started their quest by hiring a teepee for the wedding reception. They then filled it with all manner of DIY decor and details including a wooden palette order of the day sign, and a vintage step ladder family portrait display. As well as putting on a delicious BBQ wedding breakfast and Brass band entertainment.

Inspiration & Styling

The vibe of the day was very rustic. We had decorated jars on the table with flowers, on log slices with hessian runners. We had a sweet table made of hay bales, along with hay bales as seating outside. We definitely wanted our wedding to have a relaxed atmosphere.

Laura & Will
Laura and Will loved their brass band who performed in the evening outside their teepee wedding reception. Guests danced on hay bales and everyone looked like they were having an absolute hoot. Have you thought about how you're going to entertain your wedding guests on your special day? Well, before you decide, listen to our wedding entertainment podcast, you won't regret it. rock my wedding forum
