Inspiration

Saying your vows in front of breathtaking views and a stunning moon gate is a dream that became reality for our gorgeous couple at this Thailand wedding. An intimate affair with 35 guests with an exquisite ceremony set up and an even better dinner scape. Industrial, jungle chic was the look for the day with black and gold decor against the deep green leaves and some geometric aspects included. A foliage-covered installation with hanging lights, gold decor and elegant place settings, with pampas grass to finish it off. The bride looked equally gorgeous in her two-piece made up of a delicate beaded bodysuit and simple skirt. Guests enjoyed, signature cocktails, a delicious cake and dessert table (which of course was in-keeping with their theme for the day!) and an after-dinner dip in the pool to cool off! Such fun!

What Made Our Day Unique

Since all of our friends and family live in the US, just having a destination wedding in Thailand was pretty unique! We wanted our wedding to be a fun vacation not only for us, but also for all our guests as well. Because our guest-list was small, (about 35 people), we were able to schedule fun excursions with our guests before the wedding like a sailing trip, and the elephant sanctuary. So by the time it was our actual wedding day, all our guests knew each other really well, which made the day so much more fun!

Thailand Wedding

As if having a Thailand wedding in a impressive villa with insane views wasn't enough, this couple topped it off with amazing decor from start to finish! The moon gate was definitely a winner after the bride was initially a bit nervous as to how it would turn out, it couldn't have been prettier and was definitely a great frame background for a cheeky photo opportunity, which the guests definitely made the most of. And as the lights went down, the dinner area was lit up with a pretty twinkly hanging light installation with white flowers and lots of greenery, perfect for a cosy atmosphere at an intimate celebration like this one!

Inspiration & Styling

I think Ilaire called it "Modern Industrial Jungle" at some point when we were cultivating our Pinterest board. I loved the simplicity of the green and white, since the backdrop of the Villa Aye was so naturally stunning. The pops of black and gold just added some elegance and drama without taking away from the natural beauty of Phuket. The overall vibe was just perfect for us.

We love an intimate, small wedding here at RMW (don't get me wrong we love a big one too!) but there is something so magical about just having your very nearest and closest friends and family join you on your special day. Whether it be a small destination celebration, a closer to home town hall wedding, or a cosy family Christmas celebration we love them all! rock my wedding forum
