The lovely Kate Halfpenny never fails to totally floor us with her designs. Kate has the ability to create new and original dresses with each collection, while remaining true to her style, but still encapsulating current trends AND vintage inspiration. It really is quite something! When I look at one of Kate's dresses I can see influences from fashion greats, but there's no denying that it's a Halfpenny London gown. The 2017 collection is simply beautiful. Of course there are the classic Halfpenny shapes and bold floral lace, but this collection embraces embellishment and texture too. Generally with any new Bridal collection, there are standout dresses, but with Kate's 2017 collection - every gown is incredible, I really can't pick out a favourite. Plus, being a Halfpenny London design - as well as looking amazing, the dresses are created to be worn by real Brides (so yes they look incredible on these models, but they will look incredible on you too)!
These images are taken from a recent Brides Magazine Reader event at The Ritz London, where Kate showcased her new collection to Brides-to-be and the press. And given that Kate's dresses are 100% made in England, a London institution like William Kent House at The Ritz was a very fitting location. As you can see, the collection contains incredible hand beading, delicate lace, luxury satins, the finest silk tulle and lots of sultry, plunging low backs to make a statement walking down the aisle. If you've fallen for any of the Halfpenny London gowns, you can see more of Kate's work in our Look Book and on the Halfpenny London website. The 2017 Collection will be in Kate's flagship store and stockists over the coming months.
