Fleur from the Secret Garden collection is our most popular dress – she has a classic shape, subtle colour and clean lines. Fleur gives the bride an option of two looks with the removable lace jacket and they can make their look individual with how it can be accessorised with different belt options. Also I am sure the captivating image from our campaign of Fleur has been dreamt about by many brides, who just have to try it on because of that image!
By far the most popular design is “Mercy” with the Mimosa two piece a close second. Mercy is even more delectable in real life. The colour and texture of the dress is so soft and delicate. Combining a delicious pale champagne tone, silk satin, and Ivory Silk Tulle skirt .The bodice of hand worked French Lace, tiny capped sleeves and the wow factor back give this dress the deserved attention it has had so far. This is the first season for Mercy, and the other designs, but definitely this is the stand out dress so far. Brides who are looking for a beautiful dress to wear on their wedding day that is luxurious yet relaxed and a touch Bohemian are attracted to this design.
The ‘Hyacinth’ gown is one of my all time favourite gowns and brides to be adore this design too. The soft silk tulle skirt is fun, feminine and romantic, makes any bride want to twirl and whirl! My favourite design feature is the nipped in waist detail that draws the eye in and creates a beautiful silhouette, this feature is completed with a flower corsage. The Hyacinth is the perfect gown for modern day brides who love to be feminine but also have a playful side.
Our signature rosewater ballgown is our best selling dress. Rosewater was the colour that kick-started the entire business when twobirds founder Ariane’s bridesmaids wore the very first twobirds dresses for her wedding back in 2007. I love the movement in the skirt and the shimmer in the fabric. I think it’s so popular because of the neutral, vintage colour and the endless neckline options as each bridesmaid can feel amazing, rocking their own style on the day and then completely change it up when they wear it again after the wedding.
Our gown Salamanca is one of our bestselling dresses at the moment. A lot of brides are still going for the lace mermaid look but Ian Stuart puts his very own unique twist on it and gives it his own signature look. As well as the design, the luxurious fabrics Ian uses coupled with his exceptional structure are what make his gowns really stand out.
The Opulence & Opulence shrug is timeless and classically beautiful. Opulence has proven to be popular due of its classic shape and matching beautiful long sleeve lace shrug with button back. Also the Savoy is sophisticated yet girlie. Savoy has a beautiful scooped neck line with a satin ruched bodice – that has proved to be really popular with brides this year. Along with the full organza skirt and added beaded belt savoy has been one of our go to gowns of the new collection.
‘The Charlotte’ my very own wedding gown I wore for my wedding has become an iconic Balbier design. Brides to be fall in love with the long cathedral train, the soft Organza fabric edged with a deep French lace appeals to the brides who want to make a statement but also be traditional and romantic. The oversized bow detail and pretty sleeve are my favourite design features on the gown, I just love a big bow! Every bride who try’s ‘The Charlotte’ on falls in love with the way this gown makes you feel, it’s enchanting and magical.
The best selling dress from our latest collection is the Elsa gown. We love this dress for its modern cut, romantic French lace neckline and peach coloured bodice. The sunray pleated skirt shape is ultra flattering and works beautifully on many body shapes. This dress always appeals to brides-to-be after a slightly different take on the classic bridal look, something we always strive to create.
