Inspiration

Angie and Matt created a beautiful rustic wedding at The Ferry House Inn last summer. The bride and her thirteen bridesmaids made perfect use of The Mocketts Farm Cottages and stayed over the night before the big day before travelling in a vintage red tractor to the reception. Opting for an outdoor ceremony the couple said 'I Do' with views over the estuary creating the perfect backdrop for this celebration with the bride wearing a stunning off the shoulder embellished dress teamed with a delicate bouquet. The entertainment certainly did not disappoint, the bride's fathers band played whilst the newlyweds danced back down the aisle together kicking off the evening excellently before an epic white bouncy castle and a romantic sparkler exit all perfectly captured by Indiego Photography.

What Made Our Day Unique

The venue was so pretty and they offer little touches like taster evenings where you can try your food, canapes and wine. All food is from field to fork, grown and reared by local farmers - we incorporated as much of this in our choices as we could. Our vibe for the day was rustic and chilled, we both love being outdoors and camping so we knew we wanted a rustic feel. I wanted to make as much as I could to make it really personal and I definitely achieved that by making the cards suitcase, name places and table numbers, Matt also made our heart-shaped pallet table plan. For the evening entertainment, we had a fantastic magician with a gorgeous white bouncy castle and sparkler exit

The Ferry House Inn

Making the most of the English summer this couple decided to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony at The Ferry House Inn dressed delicately with lace chair covers and rose floral decor. The venue is brimming with olde-world charm and country character and the perfect backdrop to this outdoor occasion and rustic barn wedding. Once the couple had tied the knot they moved their guests indoors for their reception which was styled perfectly with fairy lights, candle lanterns and arrangements of white gypsophila on the tables. To keep the day as personalised as possible the couple added plenty of homemade touches including the heart-shaped pallet table plan which was all perfectly in keeping with the rustic vibe along with the semi-naked cake, simply beautiful!

Our Favourite Moments

Obviously the actual getting married but also seeing all of my beautiful bridesmaids walking down the aisle ahead of me to a precious song that reminded me of my granddad who is sadly no longer with us. We also loved all of the speeches, dancing down the aisle to 'you make my dreams come true', seeing the barn all decorated, the food and then sitting in the bath in the honeymoon suite on the evening reminiscing and drinking a bottle of champagne
