Planning

We love The Lovely Drawer. It is as simple as that. With collections and bespoke options both available, and Teri's vast array of skills spanning watercolour illustrations and hand lettering, your wedding stationery design is in marvellous and very creative hands! Teri describes wedding stationery in the most perfect way; "putting together a cohesive set of paper ware to bring a couple's vision to life". See what we mean? Absolute perfection. The Lovely Drawer Weddings grew from a love of designing for couples that started a long time ago. Having previously worked in greetings cards I always found myself gravitating towards designing for the ‘love’ occasions and so wedding stationery eventually seemed like a perfect route to go down. Being married myself I know how important these details are to create a beautiful and memorable day overall and really enjoy putting together a cohesive set of paper ware to bring a couple’s vision to life for their big day. I design from my West London home studio and work in a variety of ways from hand lettering, to watercolour illustrations to geometric patterns, to personalised character to graphic minimalism, so there’s without a doubt a look to suit every one and I get to flex my creative muscles at the same time. I have a variety of template sets which are great for couple’s on a slightly smaller budget. These are existing designs that can be tailored to suit each different wedding with the ability to change the colours, wording and even the layout or personalise characters in certain instances. For those who have a clear picture of what they’re pining locked in their head, I also offer bespoke design and work with you and your inspiration to bring the look, feel or theme of your wedding to paper, making it completely personal and a one off experience. I have been known to be a perfectionist when it comes to wedding design but I can only think that’s a good thing in this instance with a keen eye for detail and colour matching, as well as always being very picky about printing onto good quality art boards to do the designs justice.

THE FACTS

  • I have an overwhelming love for peanut butter and could eat it on or with anything. I have been know to just eat whole spoonfuls out of the jar.

  • I was born in Cape Town which sounds a whole lot more exotic than where I grew up in the UK.

  • I pretty much left the womb with a pencil in my hand. I would spend hours and hours drawing from when I could hold a pencil so there was never much doubt I would end up in a creative job.

  • As I get older I’m definitely more of a homebody and relish a night in on my sofa but find I get most of my design inspiration comes from travelling.

  • If I was to live anywhere else it would be Copenhagen. I’m not a fan of the weather or the price tags but I can’t get enough of their way of life and beautiful design!

  • My business has been going for 3.5 years now and I could never have imagined it would take off in the way it did.
