Just about the most stylish old barn going, Godwick Great Barn was built in 1597 by Sir Edward Coke, chief justice to Elizabeth 1, in an ostentatious show of wealth and power. Today it’s a stunning wedding venue set in ancient parkland. Refurbed but not contemporised, it’s rustic heaven and a brilliant blank canvas. A must see for creative couples, with luxurious accommodation and glamping for 22 people onsite, it’s a fabulous location to make memories you’ll cherish forever.

Godwick was the first venue we viewed and nothing else compared! It provided everything we were looking for – on-site accommodation, flexibility with decor, suppliers, layout, and the most beautiful rural surroundings. Every time we visited Godwick we were filled with such a sense of calmness and never wanted to leave. Amy, Kevin, James and Sue were lovely to deal with, super attentive and knowledgeable, and always quick to respond to our (many) questions and queries. Amy was our wedding coordinator throughout, and was just the most lovely person to have helping us – she was so so friendly, helpful and did everything she could to help us bring our wedding dreams to life. Godwick Hall was absolutely beautiful and our friends and family were blown away by it. We loved being able to stay on site with our loved ones before and after the wedding and Amy went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed to put on a big BBQ spread for everyone the night before. We had an outdoor ceremony and had our first dance outside in front of a beautiful sunset – just how we’d planned it when we first booked the venue. Godwick will hold a special place in our hearts forever – we can’t wait to come back and have a weekend in the shepherd huts!
Godwick, wow! I got married at Godwick Barn last Friday. We were after a rustic, rural setting where I could get creative and have complete control of the décor.
Bride & Groom
I don’t think there are enough words I can use to describe how incredible this venue really is.
