I live in Los Angeles and was marrying Tim who is from California and I wanted to marry in the UK. We found The Copse which has it all. Tim’s family could stay and explore London and Oxford with ease, help us set up our dream wedding and then meet all our friends who came for the day – and then returned the next day. It was a glorious weekend. Totally magical. We had considered a wedding in Malibu and I am so glad we found The Copse and married there. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Wow. Of course we agreed and could not have been more happy.
We fell in love with The Copse at first sight. It is the most beautiful venue and even though we live locally we never knew it was here. It is a real secret and so many of our guests were delighted too, as it is such a special discovery. Even though we booked in July ours was a wet wedding ceremony, something everyone who has dreamed of an outdoor wedding dreads. But the ceremony space was beautiful even in the rain and the cover kept us dry and the atmosphere was wonderful. The photographs were amazing and the party and dancing were full of laughter. It was so great to see everyone for a whole weekend – and of course the sun came out – and nothing made a difference to the mood of everyone who had come to celebrate with us.
I was in charge of decorations at The Copse for my daughter’s wedding. We made very good use of all the items in the store. It was also wonderful that I could visit several times with our florist and create exactly the theme that my daughter wanted. Penny was happy for us to replace our flowers with those in the ceremony space so that our theme of pink and white could carry through. Both she and Kelly were very relaxed about how we used the space. Everyone commented on how stunning it all looked and what a glorious backdrop to a fairy tale wedding. The team at The Copse have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble.
