What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted our wedding to be a big party with all our family and friends. We didn’t want to have a traditional wedding (it did have elements) but we cut out a few things that we didn’t want and that people expected us to have! We made sure that everything we did was our choice and done our way. I’m so glad we did as we didn’t have any regrets. One of the biggest things for us was to have a child-free wedding (apart from Steve’s son, Jack) and I think most of our guests were happy about this too!
Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey
Incidentally, one of Nadine and Steve's favourite wedding day moments was walking into the wedding reception at Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey, to the sound of their wedding guests clapping and cheering as their bridesmaid announced the new Mr and Mrs, it totally took them by surprise and was one of the best feelings. They'd just been for some couples portraits with their photographer Taylor-Hughes who had made them feel completely at ease resulting in some incredible portraits by the ruins.Inspiration & Styling
We didn’t want a ‘theme’ to our day we just wanted it to be relaxed, simple and have a slightly modern feel about it. The venue we chose spoke for itself. It was absolutely stunning both inside and out and we didn’t want to do anything to take away from that. Even though the barn is over 500 years old I knew I didn’t want to have an old-style wedding so everything we did was done in a simple but contemporary way and with colours that complemented our surroundings.
