Planning

I've got a confession to make. I'm a TERRIBLE packer. No matter how hard I try, I always end up taking everything but the kitchen sink. For me, packing invariably involves a hot, sweaty and very unladylike moment where I have to sit on my overfilled suitcase and force the zips to close. Which as you can imagine, often results in said suitcase breaking open. Meaning that I have to start all over again. With a new suitcase... The solution to this problem would be to pack less, but I'm being totally realistic here, that's just not going to happen. So I've decided that the best thing to do would be to invest in a bigger, better case (or two). When you're going away, whether it's for a romantic weekend or your honeymoon, chances are you're taking your best things with you - make up, designer shoes, beautiful dresses, so surely the method of transportation for your lovely belongings should be up to scratch too? Investing in a decent set of luggage is a wise move and The Wedding Shop stock brands that will last you for years, rather than falling apart after a few trips.

Brics

Brics is a brand that epitomises affordable luxury with beautiful Italian designed (and often made) travel ranges in both hard and soft side ranges. Every Brics piece looks beautiful, I'm lusting over the Cream Bojola Duffle Bag and definitely would feel like a seasoned and stylish traveller walking through the airport with that on my arm. In fact the brand say, that 'travellers always feel a sense of pride using their pieces as they move from airport to beach to yacht to city.' That sounds like our kind of trip ;)

Victorinox

If your fiancé is anything like my other half, then Victorinox will probably appeal - creators of the Swiss Army Knife, they have been in business since 1884 and are quite simply masterful at what they do. Their luggage is lightweight and easy to transport - which is exactly what it needs to be - you need as much of that weight restriction for your accessories as possible!

Samsonite

Samsonite was founded when travel was reserved for only an exclusive few, and was a high quality experience from the transportation, the attention to service and even the accessories used to carry one’s belongings. As one of the original brands in travel, Samsonite has continued to leverage its craftsmanship and heritage as an innovator for the past 100 years, to create stylish and high quality solutions for the world traveller. Today, Samsonite continues to lead the luggage category with the same core principals and was awarded 'Favourite Luggage' Brand 2016 by TripAdvisor Travellers.

Hartmann

Another originator in the world of luggage, is Hartmann. Mr. Hartmann had a vision to build "luggage so fine it will stand as a symbol of excellence." Hartmann was soon a favourite for the most affluent travellers due to its quality, sturdiness and elegant designs. As travel has evolved over time, so have travel cases, and from classic Pullmans for streamers and sturdy trunks for train cabins to the sleek carry-ons for today’s aeroplanes. Hartmann has innovated the luxury travel experience across the decades, and continues to anticipate the ongoing evolutions in travels.
