Inspiration

A Tuscany wedding will always be a team favourite, and this beautiful affair really has captured our hearts: think intimate, elegant and ethereal, with gold, green and blush details and spectacular surroundings. This is one of those weddings where the pictures really do all the talking. Be prepared to pinch yourself.

What Made Our Day Unique

We wanted to hold our celebration in a beautiful European country and soon decided that Italy, with its natural beauty, warm climate, amazing cuisine, civil wedding options and, of course, romantic atmosphere was the ideal location for us. With the help of Julia, our wedding planner from Fior d’Amore, we made a shortlist of the most suitable venues and ultimately decided on the luxury hotel, Borgo Santo Pietro. It met all our requirements: an old villa with a stunning interior, a picturesque garden, a secluded location, the option of an official registration in the nearby abbey of San Galgano, and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Tuscany Wedding

If "Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life" (Anna Akhmatova), Tuscany must be the land of true love, a rich and romantic terrain steeped in history, legend and mysticism. Stumbling upon boutique hotel Borgo Santo Pietro must have felt like a dream made real for Elena & Vasu, with its 800-year-old luxury farmhouse hotel and 230-acre estate proving that heaven really is a place on earth. Little wonder that the venue was voted the number one resort in Europe in the Conde Nast Traveller Reader's Choice Awards 2018 - and that a Tuscany wedding remains a firm favourite amongst RMW readers. Whisk me there at once!

The Vibe Of Our Day

We wanted the day to reflect the beauty of the surroundings, so opted for natural greenery, elegant white flowers and blush details – because I love blush! We created an ambience of natural chic that perfectly fit the style of the venue. The wedding day itself flew by in an instant and we loved every magical moment – but especially the ceremony.
