Inspiration

It's so lovely to see our former Editor Fern, rocking the wedding world with her fabulous business Fern Godrey Weddings. She's always had an eye for detail, which is certainly portrayed within this understated luxury inspiration shoot at St Giles House. Featuring jaw-dropping gowns, delicate flowers and minimalist wedding stationery, proving that a few key features can make a day feel extra special.

VISION

Creamy blossom tones, muted yellows and earthy taupe shades were used, with a dash of smoky greenery. A subtle but stylish celebration of the years most awaited season: Spring.

ELEGANT & UNDERSTATED NEUTRAL STYLING

As the house itself is so beautiful, I kept the styling quite understated. Lou created lots of low floral arrangements in ceramic bowls to add texture, and the tableware and linens from Allen’s Hire were specifically chosen for their matte finish. For the stationery, Cathryn (Sincerely May) created a bespoke version of her ‘Minimalism’ collection which tied everything together beautifully. Lucie Bennett, whose cake and patisserie work is highly regarded, created a gorgeous selection of treats finished with edible gold leaf and fresh flowers. - Fern Godfrey

Understated Luxury

You've probably heard the phrase "less is more" uttered a thousand times, but sometimes it really is relevant. When you have a gorgeous setting, such as St Giles House, a few key details, err hello Julita London gowns and the floristry skills of Loulabel Floral Design, you really can make a statement. Bringing all this together was our gorgeous gal Fern, (yep Fern will always be part of the RMW family), plus Beccy and Frances who captured the day beautifully. Spring is most definitely a time of year for swooning, which is exactly what we'll be doing all day over this stunning inspiration.

THE FASHION

Both dresses from Jo at Julita LDN Bride were breathtaking. Jo is immensely talented, and her bohemian but glamorous gowns are just perfect for the St Giles House bride. With backless and sheer gowns clever lingerie is required, and the amazing Ender Legard provided bodies that worked perfectly. The suits came from Marc Wallace, whose attire is always beautifully cut. Marc uses the best fabrics, even for suit linings, where he often adds a splash of colour or a fun print. The fabulous jewellery was borrowed from Bear Brooksbank whose statement pieces added the perfect finishing touches to our bridal outfits. - Fern Godfrey
