Inspiration

Today's celebration comes from the valleys at a Wales wedding venue with two beautiful bridal dresses and two special guests. The day kicked off in a Welsh chapel with a bilingual ceremony followed by a stunning reception where the bride's dog and horse also made an appearance! Being a keen horse rider the bride decided to add equestrian touches to the day including the hanging stirrup displays and table place settings, this along with the floral decor perfectly suited the marquee reception and created a beautiful backdrop to the celebration all captured by Yana Photography.

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

"I (the bride) am Welsh therefore our service was bilingual. I said my vows in Welsh and my husband said his in English. During the service, my husband’s friend sang two songs which were breathtaking. I have been reminded many times that this was the highlight of the day for many of our guests. We also had a Welsh male choir at the reception to welcome all guests to the marquee. I wouldn’t say I had a favourite moment to the day however there were definitely some highlights! Dafydd Jones singing in the Chapel was breathtaking and a moment I will always cherish (goosebump effect!). I wanted my animals involved in the wedding, so at the reception, my dog Monty (Westie) and my horse Ernie made an appearance. Our photographer, Yana captured a beautiful moment of the four of us together which is my favourite picture of the whole wedding!" - Manon & William

Wales Wedding Venue

From the hanging stirrups through to the gorgeous flowers by Tulipa Flowers, every element was chosen to beautifully complement this marquee reception and Wales wedding venue. Manon looked incredible in an embellished split front Rosa Clara dress paired with her long finger waved hair before changing into an off the shoulder evening dress also from Rosa Clara. Teaming with the beautiful dresses the groom and his groomsmen wore black-tie and all looked very dapper.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"We didn’t really have a theme for the day – I have always been a strong believer of “less is more” and “traditional”. The colour theme was blush and gold, however, I don’t think that this was overly done throughout the day. We had our service in a marquee in a field which would suggest a “country themed wedding” however I avoided bunting and rustic features. I am a keen horse rider, so we decided to add a small touch of “equestrian to the day” which included a hanging stirrup display with flowers from the ceiling and name cards on the horseshoes; sprayed in gold of course. We wanted to use local suppliers for our special day. The majority of the suppliers were the people we knew which made the whole experience stress free as I had seen previous work / heard great reviews about them. I think it’s important to support local suppliers, and I feel like we did this in most cases." - Manon & William
