What Made Our Day Unique
We decided to go X-L on the live music; we love music and knew it would be the best way to fuse the Egyptian/Irish/Scottish vibes! We are so happy we didn’t compromise; the music created the most incredible atmosphere all day. It kicked off with bagpipes outside the church, then, an amazing arrangement of 'Bittersweet Symphony' by Hyde Family Jam to see me down the aisle. Things were pretty energetic from thereon… we had a VERY lively register signing in the church (again courtesy of HFJ) - that totally set the tone for the day! They also did the drinks reception and, as a surprise, we entered the wedding breakfast with a traditional Egyptian band and had some mad pre-dinner dancing! New York Brass Band jumped out at the best moment during our first dance. Surprises are always fun for all!
Wedding Dress with Feathers
Dina found wedding dress shopping a bit of an adventure until she found RMW recommended supplier Emma Beaumont. She knew she wanted a minimalist silk dress but she also wanted to be able to change her look throughout the day, which gave the ladies the idea of an overcoat. Multiple conversations were had about which material to use for the overcoat until something fluffy caught her eye. Being a big fan of all things fluffy the 'Dina' wedding dress with feathers was born. Dina goes on to say "Emma and her team were incredibly patient with me. I loved my fittings with them so much and would totally recommend the bespoke bridal route to anyone as indecisive as me!"Inspiration & Styling
I honestly don’t know what words to use to describe the vibe. Well, I am not sure there was a specific vibe. Maximalist maybe!? For every decision, we just chose the things we loved, without thinking too much about how it would all look together. Joe also created a lot of our (my!) ideas. When we pulled it all together we realised we had quite the concoction - feathers, sequins, bold flowers, disco balls, a huge paper flower installation, outdoor sofas and we brought lots of the outside inside! Thankfully, the venue was such a huge utility space (tin roof/brick wall stables) so we think it worked well and thanks to the gorgeous and unique features of the venue, like the gorgeous heavy vines over the stables, it hopefully resembled something vaguely tasteful!
