Inspiration

A wedding gin bar, a pimp my prosecco station and the most glorious stationery created by the bride herself (well she is a wedding stationery designer and total invite expert at Nat's Paper Studio). There was certainly not a shortage of personal touches at Nat & Tom’s big day including 1000 origami birds (Yes 1000!!) that were scattered throughout the contemporary venue. Pass us one of those G&T's while we swoon over this incredibly stylish wedding!

What Made Our Day Unique

We wanted to make the whole day as personal to us as a couple as possible, which meant going against the norm. From our friend Stefan reading our vows and promises, having 1,000 origami birds, a nod to my Persian heritage, styling based around our home and lots of stationery creations to a G&T stand, flowers in gin bottles (we love gin!), copious amounts of Espresso Martini's, cat decor (more of our true loves) and even a chip shop station – yes... posh scraps and chip butties were to be had by all! Every part of our day from ceremony to speeches, music to decor, food and wine, was chosen because it's what defines us as a couple rather than what's on-trend.

Wedding Gin Bar

The Wedding Gin Bar was a DIY success! It sat in the garden of Millbridge Court wedding venue where guests helped themselves to a tipple or two and were spoilt for choice as there was also a Pimp my Prosecco station and Espresso Martini’s on tap! With flowers and foliage draping from every available space and emotional speeches from close friends and family, there wasn't a dry eye (or glass!) in the house!

Inspiration & Styling

The moment we stepped into Millbridge we knew it was the perfect venue for us. It's a wonderfully modern barn with beautiful gardens and a blank canvas to create a truly personal feel. Being a stationery designer and having a keen eye for interiors I immediately had a vision for what we would be able to create in the space and how to bring our personalities through the styling and decor. With help from both of the mum's, I worked closely with our incredible florist Hannah Berry, to create a wild, bohemian look and feel, with lots of foliage and big wispy flowers hanging from every area of the venue. I then created tablescapes and stationery using a mix of textures and acrylic, playing on our love of monochrome, grey and all things copper. We wanted a very relaxed, unique and memorable vibe and I think we achieved this well.

"I would honestly say one of my favourite parts of the day was the moment I walked down the aisle, hand in hand with my dad, surrounded by everyone we loved, to the man I would spend the rest of my life with. Soppy I know... but nothing can beat this feeling." - Nat
We know how important it is to make sure you have a photographer or videographer (or both, because why not?) you trust there to capture those heartwarming moments perfectly that you never want to forget, whether that be walking down the aisle or Grandma on the dance floor after a bit too much fizz! So our handpicked directory can recommend suppliers for you to use on your big day!
