Inspiration

It’s my best friend Lucy’s wedding at the end of the month, so as you can imagine, our schoolfriends’ Whatsapp group is chockablock with wedding talk of outfits, how to entertain the kids at the wedding, décor and readings (which were also the subject of the latest RMW podcast – listen here).

Anyway, the topic of Whatsapp chat this week was jumpsuits. Lucy asked whether we’d seen any white jumpsuits that might suit her which she could change into for the wedding reception. If you’ve read any of my fashion posts on Rock My Style then you’ll know that I’m a bit of a shopaholic (okay, a LOT of a shopaholic) and within minutes had found her the gorgeous Vianne from Reiss.

What do I love about the Vianne? What DON’T I love about the Vianne? The cut is simple, elegant and sophisticated. It’s ivory in colour, so will flatter Lucy, a pale English rose. (But it would also look stunning on darker skin tones). The wide-leg silhouette is en vogue yet timeless – and LOOK at the flared silhouette that’s created when the bride moves around. The cut out detail on the seam of the inside leg will ensure that the all-important wedding shoes will be on show and not hidden away.

I could probably wax lyrical about the Vianne for a few more paragraphs but I’ve got a wedding reading to practice, and ‘ways to entertain the kids at a wedding’ to Google. So instead I will leave you with a couple more jumpsuits that made the shortlist.

What do you think of the Vianne? Will you be having an outfit change on the evening of your wedding?
