Inspiration

Hot off the press is Star and Tom's industrial wedding complete with wedding newspaper order of service, blue and white decor and flowers and glamorous fashion. The West Mill wedding venue in Derbyshire made the perfect location for all this loveliness, and behind the lens capturing the magic was the super talented Rosie Kelly Photography.

What Made Your Day Unique

The way we pulled off the decor, it was just what we dreamed of. But mostly, how emotionally charged the day was. I never expected to see people so invested in the wedding and the emotion that seeing a couple unite brings. Me and Tom spend the wedding day and the days following the wedding in ore of how amazing and in love we felt. We are both proud to say that was our wedding and we felt it was perfect for us.

Wedding Newspaper

Some couples like to collect national newspapers on the day of their wedding as a keepsake. But, Star & Tom wanted to go that little bit further by having their very own personalised wedding newspaper (The O'Donnel Times' to be precise) printed and handed out to guests as an order of service. It was a great momento of the day and showed off the originality of the couple to a T. They also collected over 200 pieces of blue and white china (jugs, ginger jars, vases) that adorned the aisle and the tables, beautifully complementing the industrial space.

Inspiration & Styling

Industrial meets Dior ... sounds crazy but we wanted a venue that matches our home decor, industrial yet sleek. But we knew that we wanted a bit of glamour and we loved a retro Dior stockings advert from the 1960's so we used that for our save the dates and it helped inspire the finishing touches. The venue was so amazing and we wanted that to shine so we picked decoration that complimented that. We fed and watered our guests very well, this helped with making everyone feel at ease and enjoy the day with us. We picked a menu and drinks that we love (Burgers and Whiskey), people seemed to really embrace the little quirks.

Star & Tom

When asked most couples fondly remember the wedding ceremony as one of the highlights of their wedding. Bride Star goes on to say - "Standing holding my mum's hand (she gave me away), she was shaking and asked me if I was nervous and I replied: "no, I know everyone out there and I love them, plus I am getting to see Tom". These very words fill me with joy, and thoughts of my own wonderful ceremony, which was by far my favourite moment of my wedding.
