Our speciality is in story-telling, with an emphasis on capturing moments, emotions and intimacies. We are passionate about connection, love and the manner in which human beings interact.

What's your Style?

Our photography style is creative and informal with a primarily reportage feel. We have a background in events photography and enjoy capturing funny or emotional moments. Having said that, wedding photography requires many kinds of photography to truly capture the feel of the day, so we approach every aspect with care and attention to achieve the highest possible quality outcome.

Is a pre-wedding shoot necessary?

Whilst not strictly necessary, we really feel that a pre-wedding shoot enhances your photographic experience considerably. It is a relaxed time with none of the pressure of your wedding day. It allows us time and space to get to know each other a little and for nervous couples to get used to the feeling of being in front of the lens, as well as, of course, providing you with beautiful images to treasure.

How many photos will we receive and how will we receive them?

From your pre-wedding shoot you will receive around 50 images. These will initially be sent to you in digital format and then will be included on your wedding USB stick as well. The number of images you will receive from your wedding will depend upon the package you choose. I estimate that you are likely to receive between 600-900 photos depending upon the number of photographers on your shoot. You will receive 2 sets of photos for each shoot on your USB stick. A high res set ready to print and an internet optimised set ready to share on Social Media.

Do we own the images?

No, the photographer retains the copyright for all images. However, you are assigned full and unrestricted personal usage rights to print and share/distribute the images yourselves. You may not sell the images and the photographer may use the images at any time for their own promotion.

What if we want to keep our photographs private?

It is vital for wedding photographers to be able to promote themselves using their photos, as a wedding is a once in a lifetime event, however if it is very important for you to have a couple of particular images kept private, we are happy to oblige. If you wish to keep the entire wedding private, it may be possible to purchase the entire copyright for the images. This would need to be negotiated at the beginning of the process, so that any contracts reflect the arrangement.

If our wedding is cancelled, is our booking fee refundable?

Booking fees are non-refundable. Weddings tend to be booked very far in advance and it is often impossible to rebook a date that has been cancelled.

How about if we have to reschedule?

If you have to reschedule due to genuine and unforeseen circumstances (like our current CV-19 situation), we will do everything possible to accommodate your new date. If you are able to rebook within 12 months of your original date, we will honour the price of the package at the time of booking. If the rescheduled date is more than 12 months later, there may be a small additional payment to take account of rising prices, but this will be minimal.

Can we have all the images, even the unedited ones?

No. The editing that we do is an integral part of your final photos. Each wedding is edited in a way that best suits the atmosphere and environment of the day. You will have a large selection of both black and white and colour photos within your (600-900) final images.

Do you offer discounts?

Discounts are occasionally available for Winter and weekday weddings. Aside from that, we are very happy to have a chat about creating a bespoke package for you.

How long will you stay?

Full day packages are for up to 12 hours photography and tend to start a few hours before the wedding ceremony for the bridal preparations and finish sometime after the first dance. Don’t worry if you’re day stretches beyond 12 hours, just get in touch and we can create a bespoke package that covers everything for you.

Do we need 2 photographers?

It is worth considering a second photographer if you are having a large (over one hundred guests) wedding or if your wedding is split over multiple venues. If you would like both members of the couple to have their preparations photographed or if you have ideas for your couples shoot that are ambitious or require additional lighting, then a second photographer would be an essential extra.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have full professional and public liability insurance.

How long after the wedding will the photographs be ready?

We estimate 6-8 weeks for delivery of your wedding USB stick.

Where are you based and do you travel for weddings?

We are based on the Isle of Wight in the UK and will happily travel anywhere to shoot a wedding. For UK weddings further afield some reasonable travelling expenses will be charged. We will not travel to a wedding more than an hour away on the morning of a wedding, in case of unforeseen and unavoidable hold-ups along the route. So we may require 1 night accommodation the night before the wedding. If the wedding is a considerable distance that may be extended to include the night of the wedding. All our destination wedding packages are for 2 photographers. Expenses for these weddings includes travel and 3 nights accommodation. We will arrive 2 days before the wedding to ensure no delays and leave the day after.

We're both so incredibly happy with the photos that Lucy took at our wedding and her service. Everything was well planned and smooth and the photos were exactly what we were after in terms of style, capturing spontaneous, casual moments as well as orchestrating the big family photos. She integrated herself seamlessly into the day and there are lovely photos I don't remember being taken! I know that we will look back at them in years to come still loving the way they capture the day. We've already started recommending friends and family to book her. Thank you so much!

Lucy was the photographer for our wedding in August at East Dene, Bonchurch. We also had an engagement shoot with her at Compton Bay, a special place to us as that was where we met. I have to say that some of the photos she has taken are incredible, we are so pleased with the shots of us at Compton and the pictures on the day itself. The great thing about Lucy is she makes you feel very relaxed and kind of blends in so the photos are very natural and really capture the feeling and atmosphere of the day. She was also wonderful with our children and managed to get some lovely pictures of them, which was really important to us. Both my husband Ton and I would recommend Lucy to other couples. From start to finish, she was professional, reliable and put us at ease and we are so grateful for the wonderful memories that she has captured for us of the day. Thanks so much Lucy x x x

Myself + my Husband Leon got married on 4th May 2019. Our wonderful day was captured the absolutely amazing Lucy. From our very first chat on the phone I could tell Lucy had a unique, quirky yet warm aura, which is exactly what I wanted for our day. Both slightly apprehensive + a little camera shy we met Lucy for our pre-wedding shoot in Bonchurch. Straight away Lucy made us feel super relaxed + comfortable with being photographed. She did this perfectly by distracting us from the camera snapping with her chatty, bubbly and glowing personality. She had some great ideas , concepts + fab vision. And was interested in us and exactly what we wanted to achieve. On our wedding day, Lucy was amazing from start to finish. Her guidance was clear and never over directional. She mingled into the background but also ensured that all the snaps we had requested were taken plus plenty more. Upon receiving our photos we were completely overwhelmed, we knew they would be good. But they are incredible. We love each + every one! Thank you so much Lucy for all your hard work, passion + creative flair. I would 100% recommend you to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Much Love Leon + Kylie

It was great having Lucy at our wedding at Appuldurcombe House in July. She really captured the essence of the day, both in the 'off-guard' photos and the more posed group ones. Even these ended up looking different to the 'typical' wedding photos. She was also a lovely addition to the day - all the guests loved her, and she was a great calming presence for the stressed grooms too, making us laugh when we were at our most worried about the day ahead. Shame we can't do it all again Lucy! Thank you!

I'd asked Lucy to photograph my Son's wedding after I'd seen her excellent photographs of my band performing on the Isle of Wight. Yes, it was a 4 hour journey for her to get to us but it was brilliant to have her work her skills on what was a very colourful and vibrant event. Lucy was great with the guests, she directed them when they needed it and slipped into the background when she needed to. The photography was of the highest standard and I was amazed at how well she had captured the whole event. I would have absolutely no hesitation in asking Lucy to come again, she did a sterling job! - Ron Singh
