FAQS
What is your process when couples enquire?
Firstly, we have a chat about your plans and vision for your day. I then create a bespoke proposal and quote for your consideration. If it's hitting the spot, a booking is made and we plan a time line for design consultations and venue visits (if they allow), and keep in touch throughout the planning process. Often, couple's opt for online catch ups as this increases everyone's flexibility, as well as communicating through email and, as the day approaches; whatsapp.
How are you sustainable?
I promote the use of fresh water arrangements, foam-free mechanics, keeping it seasonal and using British flowers wherever possible. I've also joined a scheme where a tree can be planted to offset the carbon your wedding flowers may create - for example if we import a lot of your flowers. The wholesaler I use offers reusable packaging too, which all helps make a difference. At the end of the wedding, any flowers that are in good health are packaged up and sent home with the couple and guests, and the rest is taken away to be composted.
How much do flowers cost?
As with everything, the price of flowers has increased. Keeping things as seasonal as possible and being flexible with your flower choices helps me stretch your budget even further. Typically, wedding flowers account for around the 10% of the budget set by couples. The Blossom Parlour does have a minimum spend of £2000 during peak wedding season, however if your budget is below this, please still reach out as I take on a number of smaller weddings each year too.
What about your inclusion policy?
As a queer, neurodiverse floral designer, Im here to advocate for you and your choices not only in your floral design, but across your day too! Wedding celebrations come in so many ways and styles, and I love the variety that this brings to my job.
