Silverholme Manor is a wedding venue located on the 5,000 acre privately owned Graythwaite estate in Cumbria. A stunning Georgian manor house that is set amid rolling fields directly on the unspoilt shores of the most famous of the Lake District's lakes - Lake Windermere.
Silverholme Manor is a self-catering property - we provide the stunning venue and you create the wedding of your dreams! Choose between an outdoor ceremony on the panoramic patio overlooking the lake or several equally romantic spaces indoors or under a large marquee / tipi in the grounds. Wedding packages are for 3 days - giving you ample time to relax with your guests and make your wedding ceremony only one part of an intimate and memorable holiday with your nearest and dearest. The house offers eight exquisite en-suite bedrooms and a cottage in the gardens that sleeps 2, making a total of 18 guests. There are 36 self-catering cottages across the estate, many a short distance from Silverholme - so that up to 250 guests may all stay on the estate. We have a list of recommended suppliers, all with a great deal of experience in providing outstanding weddings. There are multiple activities (off road driving, archery, axe throwing and water events on the Lake!) that can be organised.
