The Octagon Barn

We had THE BEST wedding day at the Octagon Barn! It’s an absolutely brilliant venue, yet feels less known than some other Norfolk venues - but we really couldn’t have imagined a better venue for our day. Only 15mins drive from the centre of Norwich, so it has the benefit of being a countryside venue with easy access to the city, which is so convenient as lots of our guests were coming via the train from London and staying in the city centre. It has a beautiful south facing garden for the ceremony and reception drinks which could not have been more perfect; a huge gorgeous barn for our reception dinner, including a big dance floor; and loads of great outdoor areas for photos and for our guests to roam. A cherry on top, is the lovely Ella who manages all the weddings and events there - she only took over as venue manager 6 months before our wedding, but was brilliant and reassuring from the start - she was clear and prompt in communication, gave good recommendations and advice, built strong relationships with our main suppliers and helped make sure the day itself ran seamlessly, with her and Alice being very hands on to help set up and pack down. Such an amazing venue and we couldn’t have been happier with it! Thank you Ella, Alice & the whole team at the OB, we are so grateful for your contribution to making our day better than we could have dreamed of!

We recently had our wedding reception at The Octagon Barn. Wow - what can we say! It was the most amazing day. Ella and Libby were so helpful when we were organising everything, and on the day itself they were absolutely incredible. They were so much fun, and helped the reception run so smoothly. They were on hand for any of our needs and were super proactive throughout. They were able to suggest vendors such as DJ's, food and everything we needed for our day. The barn itself was absolutely stunning - the most awesome venue. The partying was so great, and we can definitely say we had the best day of our lives! Thanks so so much for being part of it!

We had our wedding reception at The Octagon between Christmas and New Year, and loved it. Ella has been incredible, she really got what we wanted to do, and had such a caring, 'can-do' approach.
