What Made Our Day Unique

We surprised our guests with Das Brass, a five-piece marching band, who met us at our drinks reception and led us to our final venue, West Reservoir Centre. We were unbelievably lucky with the weather so with the sun shining, cocktail in hand, the whole wedding party danced their way across Clissold Park in Stoke Newington. The whole park joined in so it felt like our own mini-festival - it was magical. After the ceremony, we had 5 mins alone in a side room whilst the guests filtered outside for the confetti shot. This was our favourite part of the day because there's nothing quite like that feeling of having just got married in a room filled with love.

Inspiration & Styling

We wanted to avoid anything too formal and create a relaxed environment for our day. We chose our suppliers with this in mind. For example, our wonderful caterer, Deanna at Platter and Slate understood our vision and created informal family-style dining centred around slow-cooked lamb shoulder which was such a hit. Similarly our lovely photographer, Esme Ducker Photography understood that we didn't want the traditional formal shots and she captured the spirit of our day beautifully. Our florist, Henrietta Hickling Florals, went above and beyond to create the most beautiful, summery arrangements for our day. My bridal bouquet was spectacular, and I couldn't have asked for more. I was set on having peonies but these were not in season, so Henrietta sourced some beautiful David Austin roses that have a similar, peony effect. The colours and textures in the bridal party bouquets were stunning and we received so many compliments.
