A celebration with tonnes of personal touches, white wedding flowers and a whole lot of love! A relaxed day for guests to celebrate the beautiful couple at the barn venue, Mickleton Hills Farm, in Gloucestershire. The day was full of good food, including a semi-naked cake, doughnut table and ice cream followed by fantastic entertainment that kept the guests on their feet all night, with one even joining the band on stage to sing a rendition of Proud Mary to entertain the couple! The copper details and piping alongside the personalised neon sign pout a slight contemporary spin on this rustic wedding! What Made Our Day Unique
There were a lot of personal touches to the day. We had music paper confetti cones (as playing music has always been a big part of Holly's life), we had Holly's Dad and Sister singing in the ceremony, our lovely friend Hannah had made the cake topper and bridesmaids boxes for us, the food was all our favorite foods in the world, the tables were named after places we had lived together, all the alcohol was locally sourced, our first dance was discovered when we first went to an event called Letters Live and Kelvin was playing there BUT what really made our day unique was the incredible supplier team we had on board and of course our guests. Everyone was just on top form! It was incredible.
White Wedding Flowers
The bride wore a Blackburn Bridal Couture wedding dress with a removable lace overlay and an embellished belt added in the evening and was surrounded by her bridal party who wore blush bridesmaid dresses. They all clutched beautiful bouquets of white wedding flowers and fresh green foliage, matching the other gorgeous flower arrangements that were scattered around the barn wedding venue to help bring the outside in for this outdoors-loving couple.Inspiration & Styling
We wanted the day to be really relaxed and fun! It's not often that you get all the people you love the most in one room and we just wanted to throw THE best party of our lives (and of course tie the knot after nearly a decade together!) and for nothing to be forced/staged. The inspiration behind our styling was very much centered around "bringing the outside in" with a hint of fun / modern touches. We both grew up in the countryside (Holly on a farm) and really loved the natural greens, whites and coppers which fitted in perfectly with our beautiful barn venue.
One of the first things we did was buy the RMW book and tonnes of wedding magazines for inspiration! From here we used The List - which was incredibly helpful! In fact we found our amazing photographer Katrina Bartlam (Captured by Katrina) on The List (who was the find of the century!)
