Inspiration

There's something so tranquil about being by the ocean. The cool blue water, grey skies, and billowing wind sets the scene beautifully for this wild coastal elopement bridal inspiration at New Barton Barns in Devon. Add the texture of the exposed brick in the farmhouse, mixed with the luxury of the tablescape, including taper candles, fine linens, and an immense floral installation, and you have some beautiful bridal inspiration to feast your eyes upon. All captured to perfection by Liberty Pearl Photography and Film who's beautiful captures we just can't get enough of at Rock My HQ, including this real bride and groom elopement in Devon.

Wild Coastal Elopement Bridal Inspiration at New Barton Barns, Devon

Danielle The Stylist: Amber at Liberty Pearl Photography's gorgeous coastal elopement styled shoot at New Barton Barns in Devon displays beautiful images styled based on a combination of coastal mixed with woodland.

Styling

It was wonderful to be able to work with Amber's ideas and bring the concept together with a creative team of suppliers. New Barton Barns is nestled amongst beautiful farmland, woodlands, and the coast. Taking inspiration from the venue's surroundings I wanted to create a tablescape that had a natural simple feel as well as adding luxurious touches. I used shades of blues and silvers throughout and mixed in a few deeper, richer colours to add contrast and textures.

Wedding Stationery

Handmade paper and a touch of gold foil gave the stationery a fine art feel. Taking inspiration from the sea and painting with watercolours gave a lovely texture and depth to the design which was finished off perfectly with some old school calligraphy for a whimsical and romantic feel.

Floral Designs

The inspiration for this day for the floral design came from an idea of creating a real intimacy to the elopement. Using a very warm, evocative set of rooms and the wild openness to create something textured, very feminine and soft. The tablescape inspiration was the softness of the foliages found near the coastline and the billowing cloud forms that are so much part of this environment. For such a private moment it felt right to use gentle fine and billowing shapes to create closeness and delicate softness. Using flora that is seasonal, local and avoiding the use of plastic where possible is really key to my work so this was a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate you can create something stunning, poetic and still tick the ethical box.

Wedding Jewellery

The beautiful coastal inspired rings and cufflinks were just perfect for this shoot, the designs are inspired by a coastal of your choice. We wanted every item on the shoot to reflect the beautiful setting we were immersed in.

Wedding Dresses

Our beautiful dresses were as wild as we could find, we love how the beautiful layers blow freely in the strong coastal winds! They are both light, but with a hint of colour for the non-traditional bride.

Bridal Hair & Makeup

Our hair and makeup choices were strong and wild to reflect the vast open landscape, stormy coastlines, and untamed cliff top winds!

Wedding Cake

We wanted to keep the cake intimate natural and coastal inspired. Designing a delicious tall buttercream cake with textured rough buttercream in smokey blues and greys to represent the ocean waves. The second one was a two-tier smokey blue marbled cake decorated with Lunaria seed heads known as Honesty.
