Wild Tipi

Sam: Wild Tipi are a small family run business in the heart of Cornwall, hiring out Giant Hat Tipi's and Bell tents. With our hearts firmly in the ground and with a passion for nature we feel inspired by the natural landscape and the seasons. Regardless of the time of year bringing the outdoors in to this space can really enhance the rhythm of your day. We love everything earthy and real, using the nearby woods to create a stunning backdrop for the Tipi's allowed us to play in the surroundings and embrace the colours and scenery. It was important for us to tell the story of our real newly engaged couples love for each other. Stripping back the unnecessary inside we were able to focus on keeping it simple, beautiful and wildly romantic.

Olivia Bossert Photography: I was incredibly excited to be a part of this photoshoot. I’m a lover of all things outdoors, and super drawn to intimate wedding celebrations. Sam, from Wild Tipi, is so passionate about her business, it’s intoxicating, and you can’t help but love everything she does. The team we had on the day was of the highest skill, and it made my job very easy having so many beautiful elements to shoot! In everything I do, I try to tell a story. Photography has the power to transport people to another place, be it a memory, or somewhere imaginary. In this instance, the aim was to transport people towards a possibility: what their wedding day could look like. I think we all did a really good job of working together, and showing off just how wonderful a tipi wedding can be!

Gemma: Our colour pallet for the table styling was kept simple, making the most of the gorgeous honey light that the tipi’s create. Antique brass and copper catch the soft candlelight complimented by soft greys. The incredible green chandelier where bunches of scented foliage are strung from an antique wooded ladder, lower the height of the tipi’s ceiling, creating an intimate dining feel. We wanted to create a beautiful and inviting outdoor seating area with a festival vibe. A luxurious bell tent overflowing with soft white sheepskins creates the focal point. Hay bale seating surrounds the fire pit where guests can sit and relax, snuggle up under blankets, lanterns ready to fill the space with candlelight after dark.

3Acre Blooms

3 Acre Blooms: Inspired by the beautiful coppery colour palette, the bouquet had home-grown Belle Époque and Copper Image tulips, cornish eucalyptus, Winston Churchhill narcissus and anemone de Caen; as well as hellebores and ranunculus complemented by wisps of jasmine and flowering albelia and spring blossom. In the Tipi's the tables consisted of a mixture of astrantia, rosemary and narcissus. The bell tent was dressed with foliage garlands and milk churns frothing with foliage and blossom adorned the outside. The foliage chandelier that was suspended above the table, consisted of bunches of rosemary, eucalyptus, olive and some native fern. 3Acre Blooms are flower growers and floral designers based on the north Cornish coast. Run by sisters, Emily and Lucy, they delight in creating fluid and natural designs, that capture the mood of the wedding and reflect the seasons. Working very closely with their couples, they bring to life their flowery ideas with individual and personalised blooms that add a touch of floral delight and magic to their special day. Wherever possible, they use flowers and foliage grown by them and handpicked from their cutting patch or sourced locally.

Hair by Emma C

Hair by Emma C: I wanted to create a bespoke hairstyle as individual as the people I worked with on the shoot. I went for a relaxed bohemian hair up style which involved twists and plaits which are currently on trend to show off the bohemian styled flowers. I was excited to be part of the shoot with Wild Tipi and Olivia and I couldn't wait to create a hairstyle for it. I always enjoy creating my own styles with my brides so that they have an individual look. As a mobile weddings and special occasions hairstylist I travel all round Cornwall for brides to carry out there wedding hairstyles from the comfort of there own homes/accommodation.

Make Up By Ione

Make Up By Ione: Sticking to the boho tipi theme, I decided to create a natural relaxed look with the emphasis on the eyes. I went for a warm brown smokey eyes as the model, Sarah, had blue eye so this would make them pop even more. I left the rest of the face very natural with a slight bit of colour and highlight in the cheeks and balm in the lips.
