How did you get into this industry/What made you pursue a career in this industry?
When I worked in Barcelona as a PA I would be involved in all the planning regarding the different events/trips that would take place. It was something that I absolutely loved doing (organising and bringing pleasure to others). Living in France currently, I wanted to be able to work with the Anglophone speaking countries, and have the opportunity to showcase the little paradise I live in, by sharing and organising couples Destination weddings in our area.
How do you structure your typical working day?
I have a calendar/to-do list that structures my day. Although in our business there are so many different fun aspects and obstacles we need to tackle, sometimes we’re in the office, sometimes we’re out meeting vendors/venue recking and sometimes we are with the client either via zoom or in person for a tasting/in face meetings with the venue/suppliers.
What excites you most about your job?
The variety of it, the joy, fun and the happiness you bring. Never a dull moment.

Having my suppliers understand my clients have high expectations, and these expectations need to be met. This is something that can sometimes be very challenging at times.
What do you find most challenging about your job?
The relationship between my suppliers and the clients. There is such a cultural difference here in France, it can often be challenging as things are done differently here. Having my suppliers understand my clients have high expectations, and these expectations need to be met. This is something that can sometimes be very challenging at times. My challenge is always to ensure my team of suppliers work as a team on the day and ensure there is harmony and complicity so the day runs smoothly and easily. It’s all down to careful planning, experience, and of course human empathy.
Is there one thing that you do every day without fail?
Yes, ensure all the needs/questions my clients have, are taken care of and answered.
What is the most important thing you’ve learned since you started this career?
To have confidence in yourself.
What advice would you give others looking to move into this field?
It’s fun and very rewarding, but extremely hard work. You can not let down your clients nor your team on the day.
Is this your full-time job or do you do it alongside another job?
Yes, I also managed company events, and currently virtual/live streaming events.
