Business Hub

We've been extremely lucky during the pandemic to be inundated with submissions. It is a testament to the incredible industry we work in. The tenacity of suppliers to go out there and create content when weddings have been on hold is admirable. As such and in an effort to support the industry as a whole, we have been sharing more content than ever before. In some cases, up to 4 articles a day.

That all sounds a bit like we've got our baggy braggy pants on doesn't it? But all that is to say that as a result of this we have been revising our submissions process, evaluating how much exposure each feature is getting, and setting some new guidelines for how suppliers can get their weddings and shoots on the pages of Rock My Wedding. We are putting you, our loyal supporters, first. Here's everything you need to know.

Rock My Wedding feature acceptance criteria

In order for your wedding or shoot to get approved by us for publication, the wedding/shoot must hit at least two out of three of the following criteria:

  1. You are a Rock My Wedding Recommended supplier. You can tick that box! It is important to us that we are supporting those businesses that support ours. You are a Recommended supplier because we think you are excellent at what you do and that your service is outstanding. Your support for our businesses means so much and so we are making you a priority going forward. If you have weddings or shoots to send to us then please do, you just need to be sure you can also tick one of the following two criteria as well. . And if you haven't submitted to us before, what are you waiting for? You can find out more about the process of submitting to us on the submissions section of our website.

  2. Your wedding or editorial shoot is diverse. You will be aware of our pledge to increase the visibility of Black brides and grooms as well as those who fall under any marginalised or minority communities; including but not limited to - Asian couples, couples from the LGBTQ+ community, couples with disabilities - visible or not and mature couples. It’s important that we are representative and inclusive of everyone. We're thrilled to see the rise in diverse editorial shoots being submitted to us and we want to celebrate this inclusivity as much as we can.

  3. The wedding or shoot has a very strong unique look and feel, or story. What makes the wedding/shoot stand out? What about this wedding/shoot will inspire the hundreds of thousands of couples looking at our pages? Our audience loves variety; does this differ from existing content or content we already have scheduled? We have hundreds of submissions a week so show us the USP from your wedding or shoot.

We would love to see more of you collaborating on real weddings and editorial shoots too! The image in the header of this article is a perfect example of the magic that can be made when groups of incredible suppliers collaborate. It makes us so happy to be able to tag you all in articles and social channels. And remember when you feature in an article on Rock My Wedding you get a prominent supplier profile card at the bottom of the article in the featured suppliers section. You can see an example below of all the Recommended suppliers featured in the above Landmark London shoot.

So here's to promoting and championing YOU. And thank you, as always, for championing us.
