What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted our wedding to be a celebration of not only the commitment we were making to one another, but to celebrate two families from opposite sides of the world learning to love each other, too. We married in a secluded garden with our closest people. Every wedding-day decision we made was done with intention. It was quite small and intimate, and following the ceremony we had a dinner with only the 20 of us there. Everyone gave a speech, and there was lots of crying, laughing, and togetherness. That's what we wanted our day to be about.
Micro Wedding
The micro wedding was held just outside the groom's hometown in Ireland, meaning that the two families could spend a few days getting to know each other well. The wedding with 20 guests started with an intimate outdoor ceremony in the secluded gardens followed by a cosy dinner where every guest gave a speech - a day full of fun, laughter, togetherness and lots of happy tears!Inspiration & Styling
Although our day-to-day style differs, Cormac and I wanted our wedding day to feel romantic, whimsical and timeless. Because our wedding would be so small and intimate, the styling was classy, but laid back. We wanted to be where the wildflowers are and where we could run around barefoot. Burtown House is where we found the opportunity for both.
