I absolutely loved my wedding dress. It was so light and comfortable, and I felt amazing in it, the shape was so flattering.
This stunning ivory dress was designed by Australian designer, Mary Ioannidis. My seamstress added additional embroidery and beadwork to the bodice and a Mikado bow at the back.
I have a 32D chest measurement and 27” waist. I’m 5f2” tall and wore 3-inch platform shoes. It could easily be altered on the chest or waist measurements to go up or down in size, but the skirt length would only be able to be taken up.
It has a mesh bodice with boning in for support and structure, covered with layers of appliqué embroidered vines and flowers, with glass bead details. Can be worn with breast cup inserts/fillets or a nude stick-on bra (I decided to go without).
The A-line skirt is multi-layered, with sequin detail on the 2nd layer and tulle on the top.
Can be worn with a hoop underskirt, which I chose to do for the ceremony, but took off for the rest of the day.
It never got very dirty on the day, but I had it dry-cleaned straight after my wedding in the summer of 2023. There is some faint discolouration on the very underside of the train where it has picked up a bit of colour from sandy gravel at the venue, but this cannot be seen, even when the dress is bustled up.
